Of course this clown will be back. He wouldn't even be "retiring" this time if the Jets hadn't dumped their coach.

He might try to get Jerry Jones to sign him as a "mentor" to Romo but then he'll backstab and sandbag Romo and become the Cowboys starter....that would be my guess.

I read things stating those two didn't get along as well as they appeared to the outside and part of the reason they fired him was to keep Favre happy. If that's true it must suck even worse for him to just retire again, especially if he really does end up somewhere else.

Someone reported that Favre asked to be released from his contract once the Mangenius was canned so he could hook up easier with a new squad. Then, he remembered that he has a plan in place for hooking up with a new team. It's called, "Retiring."

He was really quick to appear on ESPN...so much for making a careful decision. He knows that ESPN and "the masses" can be scammed when all he has to say in 3 months, "I just had a gnawing feeling I can play" or "I can't let last year be my final memory of the game"...
