Breaking Bad - The T.V. Series

Uncle Jack is about to stare down the barrel of an M60.

After all Walt has been through, there is no way in hell he'd allow some fucking dirt bag to get away with murdering his relative (after begging him not to) and stealing 69 million dollars.

He killed Gus. These guys are nothing.

Just watch, first he'll outsmart them, and then he'll fuck them right up.

I expect there to be some sort of showdown between Walt and Jesse.

They started it together, they'll end it together.

Todd is a total full-on psycho. He's a remorseless killer, probably the worst in the entire series. And I agree, Jesse needs to take him out - vengeance on two counts.

Good riddance Jack, Todd and crew. Enjoy your tea Lydia.

Best of luck Jesse.

RIP Walt.

Dayuum! One of the greatest endings of all time, whether it be TV or a movie. In some ways, that ending reminded me of the one from The Outlaw Josey Wales - but I liked this one a lot more. Vince Gilligan tied up all the major loose ends without making it seem contrived or forced (like Lost). And how about my boys showing up one last time?! Huh?! How was that?! Badger & Skinny Pete made it in for one last ride. We'd been missing some comedy relief lately and they provided that last night.

I'm really going to miss this amazing show. But it was time for it to end. And I'm completely satisfied with how it was done. Bravo!!!

My only problem is, where is that 70 million. Jessie deserved some of that. I thought it was a good ending. I wouldn't have minded if Walt shot himself, for Jessie, but that cash thing fucks me up...that's money for Brock, and Jessie, and even a little for Skylar, and Hanks old lady...even though I hate her character. I will say this, 110% better then The Sopranos.

Jesse got his and chose to throw it away - literally. Him walking away with some of that blood money would've been contrary to his whole turnabout. I think it ended perfectly. It wasn't in Jesse to kill Walt and I'm glad none of those dirt bags did either. Walt was done in by his own hand, if remotely.

I'm not seeing much commentary on the web about the scene with Walt in the snowed-in car.

When the police cruiser pulls up behind him with lights flashing, he freezes, then relaxes, closes his eyes and begs "just get me home". If you watch closely at this point, his demeanor changes. The whites of his eyes appear to turn black.

He transforms from Walter White into Heisenberg. What fate would have met anyone who knocked on the car door?

Gollum ... gollum ...

Ok...I can see that. That puts my brain in a little better place. Good post. But I still would have liked to see Todd die a little slower. I am glad it was by Jessie's hand, and not him just pulling a trigger.

It doesn't make sense that the cops came storming the Aryan compound, as isolated as it was and if anyone heard the sustained gunfire they would have been like, "those crazy Aryans, shooting shit up again". Small detail, but still, one of those things that was really left dangling.

Walt told Skylar to call the Feds after he left...whether they would put all of that together or not, just from her making a deal with GPS coordinates seems unlikely, but who else what she told them. Even though you could tell she was glad it was over, and he would be gone, you could tell a part of her still loved Walt.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
*SPOILERS ALERT* DON'T READ if HAVEN'T SEEN the LAST EPISODE YET... 321.. ok if your still reading it was your choice..

Ok things that seemed a little far fetched.. (Winter snow foot prints.. cops or dogs can't track a trail?? a bit unrealistic IMO..)

Walt traveled all the way across country back to Mexico and gets back into his old residence again no surveillance on the house or Skylar's new house, for a guy who is the most wanted in the state he got into Skylar house with relative ease.. in the real world I'm sure there would have been 100 FBI/DEA/CIA and every other government agency tracking and watching everyone and everything.. and how did Walt know which table Lydia and Todd would sit at to add the Ricin to the packet of her coffee shit??

We never found out what happens with Saul and his bodyguard??? and although jesse prolly didn't want the 70 million like someone mentioned, it would have been cool if he ended up with it and took care of everybody IE. himself, his friends, Walts family, his gf's Kid.. and the family of the kid todd killed.. and just like the very last poster mentioned who the fuck or how the fuck did the police end up at Jacks compound.. etc.. but it IMO it still ended pretty cool.. minus all the nitpicking issues I've pointed out.. so what say you the people? :D:dunno:

I thought of three possible options, 1) Jesse calls the cops as he's making his getaway, 2) Lydia calls the cops after she got off the phone with Walt (die bitch), 3) Walt dialed 911 after hanging up with Lydia and just left the line open. I hadn't thought about Skyler calling the feds, but that still doesn't explain how they knew where Uncle Jack's hideout was. I don't know, just one of those things, kind of like how did Walt poison Brock with Lily Of The Valley. Overall, I thought the finale was good. I'm not sure if it was great, but it was definitely good, though I would have liked to have seen Walt somehow make it out of the Aryan compound and succumb to his cancer instead of dying in the strafing.

I can't stop listening to "[NOBABE]Baby Blue[/NOBABE]" now. I'll always associate that song with the end of this show.

Before he tossed it out the window, I think Jesse tried to give half his money to Drew Sharp's family (the kid Todd murdered) and the other half to Mike's granddaughter. But as Saul and Walt (?) pointed out, there was no practical way to do that. And Jesse had already given Andrea some money (I don't know how much) a couple of seasons ago - that's how she got the house in the better neighborhood where she and Brock were living. And although I'm not clear on how much the Feds actually know about Jesse's involvement with Walt/Heisenberg, I assume the only incriminating evidence is the tape that Hank and Gommy made of him baring his soul - and the Aryan Brotherhood snatched that (we can assume it got shot all to shit in that hail of bullets). And although Jesse doesn't have that last batch of cash, he does still have the expensive house he bought - and he owns it free & clear. Unless the Feds make a case against him, he doesn't have to remain in hiding forever and he can always sign that house over to Brock and his grandmother. But let's not forget, although he was a likeable character, Jesse was also a murderer and a drug dealer. Well before he met Walt, he had put his family through hell with his dealing and using. He was/is no angel. But at least he knows that and the guilt that we saw eating at him is what makes him more likeable or sympathetic. In addition to his own family, how many lives has Jesse fucked up or had a hand in fucking up?

I feel sorry for Walt, Jr. He worshiped his father and that's forever broken. At least he'll never know that his father's "real" son was Jesse. Other than buying him a new, hot car and beating up some bullies, Walt never did half as much for Jr. as he did for Jesse. Skyler? Fuck that gold-digger. She had been having an affair before Walt got cancer - who knows if Holly was even Walt's kid? And once the money started rolling in and she could be a "business owner", she seemed more than happy to go along with this... as long as she didn't have to get her own hands too dirty. She pretended to Ted that she was the one who had him busted up. She wanted the credit, even though she was just standing on the sidelines. She even wanted Walt to kill Jesse. I'm sorry that Jr. and Holly have to suffer along with her (for the next 10 months and 2 days or whatever), but seeing her as a completely broken person was icing on the cake for me. That was better than seeing her get capped. I think Walt was smart in having (making :D) Gretchen and Elliott Schwartz deliver the trust to Walt, Jr. - not Skyler. Smart move. The kid will do the right thing for his family - I think he'll be the man his father was not. Skyler is now a basket case and will probably be dying from lung cancer soon her self... the way she's smoking like a chimney. The only thing I hope is that Skyler will find a way to let Walt, Jr. know that as twisted as Walt was/became, the money that the family used for years (she should do this on her death bed, when Walt, Jr. is 40 or 50) actually came from Walt. Maybe by then Walt, Jr. would be able to handle it - and could see that although he had a thoroughly evil side (51%+), Walt also had a decent side.

I also feel sorry for Brock. He and Walt, Jr. are about the only (truly) innocent characters in this show - well, Holly too. Most everybody else made the decision to play with fire and they just got burned. That's just how life is. I didn't like how the show was based on glamorizing a drug dealer, but at least we got to see an exploration of the most complex character that television has ever seen. But the wages of sin are always death. At least Walt was able to admit why he did what he did and (finally) and in a way, I felt like that made him more honest, though not admirable.

And this is very cool:

How A Teenage Cancer Patient Changed The Ending Of 'Breaking Bad'

Kevin Cordasco truly understood Walter White. So much so that the 16-year-old teenager inspired a crucial plot point that changed Sunday’s Breaking Bad finale.

At some level, the Calabasas, California teenager understood what Walter was going through. Cardasco suffered from neuroblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer, for seven years. But his insight had little to do with Walt’s illness, and instead hinged on his recognition of another older, deeper hurt that motivated the chem teacher turned meth kingpin, and resurfaced at the end of Episode 515. (Spoiler alert for Breaking Bad up to episode 515)

On a side note, i-tunes down loads of "Baby Blue", by Bad Finger, have increased by 9000%.

I guess The Sopranos, aren't the only ones that can juice up an old song.

Thanks, Rev. That question was on my mind last night. Funny thing is, I remember the song from years back but I never really cared for it. Now, with a brand new context, I'll probably download it too.

And the more I think about that ending, the more I love it (unlike Lost). Thanks, Vince Gilligan, for giving us enough to know how the major story ended and just enough open issues to imagine how certain characters' lives might turn out. We can write our own stories for Jr., Holly, Jesse... and of course, Skinny Pete and Badger! I hope like hell that those two guys eventually show up in the Better Call Saul series!

The other thing I remembered was, Walt told Skylar, the police would be coming to him...maybe he did dial 911 and toss the phone aside.

And Rey, you are welcome, I was never a fan of the band, but that, and Lydia the tattooed lady won't seem to leave my head!
