probably not a whole lot of damage, but enough to get the point across that they can bomb wherever they like, whenever they like. plus, with all the nails and glass and such, I'm sure a few people would get injured or killed, and that's a few too many.

The car was parked outside a very popular night club, at leaving time, the street would of been heaving with people. Would of easily killed many.

why does it have to be Muslim? Just because it was a bomb in a major city? it could easily be an OC plot or just some crazy arse with the urge to kill people. Take, for example, Timothy McVeigh. I hate the automatic, racist, bigoted assumption that all violence in the modern world is related to Muslims. They are actually a very peaceful people and those goddamn extremists give them all a bad name.
