Not yet, it is not a prank, but deep-seated racial intolerance still exists in America.

Would you let your younger sister to go out with a black person? Please be honest !

No, she is married. :hatsoff:

Teen charged in NJ Walmart racial comment case

Not sure why someone should have been arrested for this but FWIW... I declare by week's end the kid will be hailed by Limbaugh or some other idiot for some idiotic, out of the ass reasoning...while somehow blaming Obama for it.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. – A 16-year-old boy patronizing a Walmart store in southern New Jersey took over the public-address system and ordered black people to leave, angering customers and prompting company leaders to apologize, police said Saturday.

Police said the boy, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, went on the intercom at Walmart's Washington Township store Sunday evening and calmly announced: "Attention, Walmart customers: All black people, leave the store now."

The teen was arrested Friday on charges of harassment and bias intimidation. Authorities said he was released to the custody of his parents; they did not know whether he had a lawyer.

"This was an extremely disturbing event on many levels," Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said at a news conference. "Any statements like these that can cause harm or grave concern must be addressed as quickly we possibly can."

Authorities would not say whether the announcement was planned or made impulsively. Police said they were also investigating a teenage boy who accompanied the suspect to the store, but had not charged the other boy.
Although a manager quickly went on the intercom system and apologized for the remark, many customers expressed their anger to store management.

Officials for Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc., said the announcement was "unacceptable." Spokesman David Tovar said the company planned to release a statement later Saturday, after the news conference.
The company said it has already updated the store's intercom system to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

It was the latest in a series of problems the retailer has had in its dealings with minorities and women.

I can't believe this kind of behaviour. It reminds me of when Barack Obama was doing a public speech and they had glass put up in front of him, I mean come on, just because he's black doesn't mean he's going to start shooting people!!!

What's it liberal angle on this??? He was arrested for what prosecutors say is a violation of some statute they have on the books. What does that have to "liberals"?? I personally believe it was a prank and I don't think this rises to the level of breaking some law but where is the political angle you're reaching for here?

I suppose it would be funny unless you're the manager of that store, one of the many employees of the chain who potentially bear the backlash of the stunt.

Trumped up liberal charges.

He was exercising his freedom of speech.

No harm no foul. :hatsoff:

If they don't want people on the store phones then only workers should have keys to access the phones.

Not that you'll ever be inclined to know what you're talking about before you post but wouldn't it be wise for the cupcake to read NJ statutes before you add to your post count about it?

It's not freedom of speech....he gained access to a system he had no right to...this could be akin to falsely yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Either way, the scumbag with likely get a slap on the wrist...and probably end up in jail at some point in his life anyway.

It will be interesting to see what the charges will be. Probably unauthorized use of private property (the PA) for one comes to mind.
