I know what you mean though - I still play on the ol' Master System every now and then. Wonderboy is one of my favourites
Trashmikes said:BS! Some games had a built in battery memory. That was the plus-side of cartridges, the game developers could add any electronics to the cartridge they needed for the game, such as battery powered memory. (The FX-chip in some SNES games is a wonderful example of what you can do with cartidges, it was actually an upgrade for the whole system). This is impossible with data-discs.
All The Legend of Zelda games had battery powered memory. The battery powered memory works the same way your computer remembers your BIOS settings even when you disconnect the power to it.

Togath said:Gamers console? Um no cant say that. Yes the nintendo revitalized the console, and the n64 brought out multiplayer. I thijnk the xbox has revelutionized console gaming, more so then any other system out there. Why? well online gaming downloads, getting rosters updated. It all being in one package. I didnt have to buy a network adapter, a modem, a this or a that. Unfourtunately, alot of kid's go blindly into buying something because that's what "MTV" tell's them too. On the next console look at what you as a player want. Do you want to play alone in the dark. Oh man i am just rambaling on screw it. I love the xbox it has really brought me back to the thing i love... Games.
p.s.. yeah i know i was rambling so none of you ned to tel me to shut up i did it myself!
you are a pussy man nintendo is for babiesTrashmikes said:Nintendo DS or Gamecube, Nintendo rules and always has ruled the console area. When Microsoft entered that area they had no idea what it is about, and thats why Xbox is just another PC in a nice chassis.
