Best tv series/season you have seen recently?

I Like Big Tits! (song by Joe Walsh)
The best show to ever air on tv is The Shield.

From the first episode to the last,I've yet to see anything that rivals it.

Have you checked out Sons of Anarchy?

Kurt Sutter, staff writer for the first 5 seasons and executive producer for the final 2 seasons of The Shield is the creator, writer and EP of SOA. Best tv show since The Sopranos imo.

I have just got round to watching these good suggestions.

I watched Breaking Bad for the first time a couple of days ago and i really enjoyed it, still only on the third episode of seaason 1.

Some of these suggestions genuinely are excellent. I have just started watching Breaking Bad as it was suggested on here, I will also eventually get round to starting Game of thrones and The Wire.

Breaking bad is so good. I am really enjoying it.

Yup,watched the first two seasons and just lost interest because I had other things going on at the time.I'll eventually get around to watching the rest of the third season, but I'm trying to catch up with a few other shows right now.

Sorry, but Sons still just isn't as good as The Shield, imo. The Shield totally broke all the rules for a typical cop show, and flipped it on it's head.Son's in good, but not as innovative to it's genre as The Shield was to it's genre.Plus,The Shield has Vic Mackey, probably one of the best characters in the history of tv.

Having had it recommended to me by a few friends, I've recently gotten into, Babylon 5 which, although not new, is just an excellent series. A show that, if you can get past the outdated effects and guys in make up, has a huge amount of depth and intelligence; far more than you're likely to ever see on television today. It's a shame I brushed it off as just another cheesy sci-fi show back in the 90s when it first aired.

Other than that, I watched a couple episodes of Parks & Recreation the other day and was pleasantly surprised.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Has anyone here (especially those from the UK) seen Luther? It stars Idris Elba (Stringer Bell from The Wire) and it's a well done series. What I really liked was the fact that it wasn't predictable, as most U.S. based crime shows are. Things happen, episode to episode, that aren't supposed to happen on American TV. You Brits have fucked up the tried & true (lame ass) formula that we Americans have grown used to!

It's pretty good. And it's been renewed for a second season.

Luther - BBC America
