best rock singer ever

Facetious

thanks facetious .. PR is also singing with Queen now too .. as a piece of trivia he was in a school rock band .. with Micky Moody .. the fabulous guitar player (ex Whitesnake) .. and Bruce Thomas bass player with Elvis Costello

The music business has been interesting for the last approx ten or so years as there's no real loyalty toward a singular band. Everybody is just sort of a free agent session player. Kind of like a musical orgy lol !

Where was all this session stuff born ?

Someone earlier posted Freddie Mercury and I have to agree 1000%
Some of You Might think oh he's old school if that's his choice but no.
Freddie Mercury was someone who did it all and never half assed (no pun).
He has been an example for the entertainers of today, for more than 20 years now. There is a "school of Freddie Mercury" in the mindest of today's "artisits". Trust me, that shit don't come from Elton John.

Oh and just so you know. Freddie's been copied to the max but no one has ever done it better. Just go rent a Queen Live dvd or something, you'll get my point. There's a frontman for you. Actually, best frontman should be a different thread.

Thanks! :hatsoff:

mjk definitely has an awesome voice.

i think trent reznor should be on here.

Trent is up there in music legends, but I don't think his voice is one of the best. Especially after you just mentioned Maynard, who is easily one of the greatest frontmen/singers of the last 20 years. :2 cents:

Lord Dipstick
Liam Gallagher

Conway Twitty
Hmm... I'm not exactly sure if I would classify him as a rock singer, and, given that this is a thread about rock singers, I wouldn't include him in it. I wanted to name Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, and Hank Williams, but they aren't rock singers, so I didn't name them.:2 cents:
