Best movies you have ever seen?

I´m not talking about where the movies have been shot, i´m talking about where the movies originate from (production company/director). Yeah, there are a few british movies mentioned, but apparently people here have never heard of Fellini, Kurosawa or Bergman (or even more recent directors like Zhang Yimou, Chan-Wook Park, Michael Haneke, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Roy Andersson and Lars von Trier). Or perhaps people here have seen these directors movies and simply have unbelievably bad taste when it comes to movies.

Some foreign-made flicks I like a lot:

Trainspotting,
Wolf Creek,
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The Killer
[Rec]
House of Flying Daggers
Belle de Jour
Das Boot

i guess hero doesn't count as a zhang yimou film in patrick's book :D also rashomon and the vanishing (not kiefer sutherland) are two specifically non-american films i would put on my best list

what the fuck you lookin at?
The Untouchables
Lost Boys
The Green Mile
Saving Private Ryan
Full Metal Jacket, well first half hour or so...
Girl Next Door
Man On Fire
I Saw The Devil

Just off the top. I'll probably post more. I'm to picky about movies anymore. It really is ridiculous.

Some great films there.
With Full Metal Jacket though i liked all of it, most people say they like the first section because it is just about marines in training, but the second part has some good drama in it, proving it is not just about war.

It's not the best movie I've ever watched but the funniest for me is still Blazing Saddles - it's still funny after all these years!

Here Zombie, Zombie, Zombie...
Just saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Holy Crap! That was a extremely excellent movie!
