^ you're being sarcastic, right?

I actually felt myself getting dumber whilst watching Jumper. Semi-Pro I have not seen yet, but i've heard it doesn't stack up to Farrell's others i.e. Anchorman. 10,000 B.C was just idiotic. Mongol is far better. :D

I havn't seen 88 Minutes or Baby Mama but I havn't heard good things. So, please tell me you're being facetious. Please?

2008, the year I actually caught up to the rest of the world in watching movies.

Movies I saw and liked:
Iron Man (ROBERT FUCKIN' DOWNEY JUNIOR! NO WAI!)
Kung Fu Panda (Skidoosh)
Wall-E (Aww, that's cuter than shit. Robotic shit.)
Indiana Jones: Crystal Skullfuck (Didnt have the same feel. But nice, nonetheless.)

And a few others I cant remember offhand.

this is the year of over hyped movies. I don't really remember any of them that were that good.

the Oscars should be interesting. I bet that they will give it to some gay art film that no one's ever heard of. You know that they won't be giving it to Rambo.

they always overlook the cool movies. In 1989 Road House didn't win a single award, but they gave best picture to driving miss daisy. a movie about a racist old lady driving around for 2 hours. wtf?

The Dark Knight - hands down the best movie of '08!

100% agree!!

Hopefully Nolan returns. The boat sequence is a simple, yet brilliant distillation of the movie's theme, in my opinion. And, could we get a better rationalization for Batman turning into Jesus than the final scene/sequence?

Anybody else notice that The Dark Knight already was rated IMDB's greatest all time movie?

After ONE day?

And only 23,611 votes... Hmmm... Godfather with 288,072 just below that at 9.1... I wonder how many of the people that voted for Dark Knight have actually SEEN it?

And guys, can you please be careful about spoilers in threads like this. Warn people and colour the text white if you're gonna reveal anything about a film, especially the endings!!

There Will Be Blood get's my vote.

Iron Man,Hellboy 2,The Incredible Hulk,Hancock,Indiana Jones,Rambo,Jumper,Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins,The Bank Job,The Dark Knight,etc.,etc...."08 looks to be the best year for movies so far.

There was ALOT of hype surrounding TDK before it's debut, and I'm sure there was alot who voted for it prior to even seeing the damn movie. But as for me, I was looking very much forward to it ... however I wanted to remain as reserved as possible just incase the film fumbled a bit. And I am happy to say that this certainly WAS NOT the case.

TDK gets my vote.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
I'm so happy. (says in his best Cartman voice)
I've never liked The Godfather, I respect the fact that it has many fans but when I watched it I was bored. In fact now if I watch it I can't even sit through 5 mins. The Dark Knight is amazing, outstanding, satisfying, unbelievable, engaging and every other great word in the book. My vote for best movie of 2008 goes to The Dark Knight. In fact I'm so happy I think I'll go watch The Dark Knight again later today.:)

I really wouldn't look into this whole IMDB thing too much, just because it get's there doesn't mean it actually is the best. Like I said, I doubt many of the voters have actually seen the movie yet. It's number one for advertising and hype, for sure.

In actuality there is no such thing as the best movie of all time because the best movie of all time is a matter of opinion. While there may be many fans of a particular film there are just as many people who don't like that particular film. As it stands my favorite of all time is The Dark Knight and it stands on top of all others on the IMDB.:glugglug:

this is the year of over hyped movies.

I repeat.

But I am looking forward to Choke. It's been pretty low key, it will probably suck and then next week you'll hear that it's great, following the current trend.

Obviously this generation has nano-second attention spans, because mostly everyone dogged on the dark knight when it was first announced and stills started to leak out.

Dark Night, 88 Minutes, The Incredable Hulk, Ironman, Walle, 007 Casino Royal.

I agree. Most of the people on IMDB are either complete idiots, teenagers who don't know shit,or studio moles.

That being said,The Dark Knight is the best movie to come out this year.As far as the best of all time,my personal favorite is Fight Club.

(by the way tjay,Casino Royal didn't come out this year)

I repeat.

So am I, I really liked the book and I cant wait to see how it is adapted for the screen Sam Rockwell as Victor Mancini is in my opinion very good casting.

Im still waiting on the news of the Survivor movie (not the TV show).
