Compared to some people, mine are pretty shallow XD. I just love those tight badass actions intros man. Just pulls you straight into the movie!

I guess it depends on how you define "opening". If you recall, the opening scene for Saving Private Ryan shows Ryan as an old man and his family visiting John Miller's grave....and then goes into the landing scene on the beach. Unparalleled in movie history....riveting.

I also love the opening to Top Gun...all those F-14s jumping on and off the carrier while Kenny Loggins and Danger Zone is blasting away in the background.....gives me chills every time I see it. Great choice, Legz....

I guess I have a preoccupation with war movies???

I agree with you. Awesome opening for one of the best movies.

Saving Private Ryan, it's the best scene I have ever seen on film.

For the most part I agree. I can't think of any opening that made my jaw drop like that.

Not really a favourite, but i like movies that work in on the studio logo. Like in water world they zoom in on the universal globe to start the movie, they also did the same on The Burbs.
Cars chasing around the Fox Spotlights in cannonball run, or smokey and the bandit. I just think it cool.

I loved the opening from The Dark Knight and Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith too. One of my favorite is from Super Troopers with the stoners getting pulled over. I don't think I laughed so hard.
