Oscar (Sly Stallone) or Johnny Dangerously. I don't take the mob that seriously.

And wha-wha-what? Magnet- you don't see "Scarface" as a mob movie? Hey, they may not be Italians, but you'd have to admit Scarface is definitely a movie about organized crime- i.e. "The Mob".

And if you're talking about the original "Scarface" movie, it's most definitely a mob movie.

Casino because it's the closest to the truth. From what I've read, Goodfellas wasen't as accurate as people seem to think.

Any heterosexual male can write a decent mob movie. But real life writes the truly great ones.

casino was just goodfellas set in vegas.

The Godfather

The Departed is not one of the best, but it's my most favourite one up there.

Maybe you guys can teach me something?
I'm not familiar with all English expressions on this board; what's a mob movie?

Can someone explain?
Thanks.

It´s a movie about people involved with the Mafia, Cosa Nostra or whatever people wanna call it (i´m not really sure if movies about organized crime from other cultures than italian counts as a "mob" movie but there are many movies about for example the japanese mafia, the Yakuza).

Okay, thanks Patrick.

It would be Godfather II for me.

I just wanted to say The Departed was one of the worst mob movies, after almost 2 hrs i started to fast forwards to the killing parts since i was getting so bored with the story line.

I like ones more that are based on true events like Goodfellas.Another one would be Roger Cormans 1967 "The St Valentines Day Massacre".
