FF Tactics for PS One is the best because of customization and because you can play that game dozens of times and never play it the same way twice.
FFXII was also amazing due to how fluid the battle system was.
FFVIII because it just fucking rules.

Totally agree. VI and VIII are actually better games IMO. I think the main reason why VII gets so much praise is that it was the one that many people got introduced to first due to its being the first FF released on the Playstation.

You're probably right. It is the same thing with Zelda. Orcarina of Time was the one that introduced most to the series and is overhyped and called the best in the series, when Link to the Past is just as good and Majora's Mask is more original.

Final Fantasy IV for me which was Final Fantasy here U.S. It was the first Final Fantasy game I played and I loved how the party members came and gone. I also loved the twists of who the final bad guy was. At first you would think it was the King of Baron then find it was Gobez but then it was someone else. It was a great story.

Then I would have to say Final Fantasy VII and VIII. I have not played V yet. I am going too someday. I have the game just never sat down and played it.

Final Fantasy 9 all the way. Listen, I respect ff7 and all...but nine just far and away has the best characters...by the end of it you are so attached to all of the characters...even the shitty ones (well minus Quinna)

Ehhhh, The biggest blunder that was made with FF7 was that the game was released incomplete in the states. FF9 though fun is more geared for kids. Tactics RULZ I love it, keeps getting harder as you go no matter what monsters you are fighting. Not a big fan of FF8 can't you run away from bosses after you draw from them? Then fight them again and draw again? Awww well to each their own I'm still a fan of the american FF2 and FF3:thumbsup:

In my opinion it's number 6.

It's filled with a great storyline, memorable characters, great soundtrack, and a great overall battle system, which still stands out compared to the rest of the FF saga.

The second best FF in my opinion is number 4.

I stand corrected. :hatsoff: 6 is really good. 4 didn't really grab my attention... My top 3 (in order ) are:

1-7
2-8
3-12
