In total agreement! So many covers are just lazy versions with loud guitars etc by bland metal bands!

That's not a cover. That song's been around for a long time and people think Thin Lizzy made it, but they did their own version of it. So Metallica's version of the song likewise is not a cover, since no one knows who originally wrote the song.
