Beer of Choice

I used to be strong on Corona Extra. I tend to have it every once and a while. But I've gotten onto Miller Chill and Bud Lite w/Lime.

There are a couple of Samuel Adams beers that I like, but since there are so many, it's hard to tell which is which without having one.

oldcastle brown ale

alexander keiths

moosehead

tell me if this is fair. i come home with a nice case of premium beer. usually keiths or moosehead. and my roommate brings home carling. what the fuck is that.

Blech. Bell's? Those guys that make the Honker Pale Ale? Never liked anything from Bell or Oberon. Less alcohol.. more fufu taste, too much of the time. That's woman-drink, mah friend. chickbooze.

No that is a different brewery, get your facts straight. That is Goose Island in Chicago.

Third Coast Old Ale has 10.2% if you are a alcohol content man.

Chick booze, you need to rethink that. My guess you have poor selection of their fine brews in your area. My guess you go to Bennigan's too much. It is a truley great brewery from Michigan...

I like Miller Lite but when I pay a little more I go with Corona. Plus the Corona bottle shape lets me use it for a toy....lol ;)

Rolling Rock
Old Latrobe brew  Very good beer and worth every bit as much as, say . . Molson, Labbats and even Moosehead, on a good day. I have to down a sixer of that stuff again and soon, it's been too long ! about 10 years.since, Hope that it's as good as it was in times past.
What am I looking for, Green bottle with a painted / glazed label ?

In the meantime, I sure as hell hope that Rolling Rock wasn't annexed by one of those huge "Shit & Piss" brewerys i.e. Schaefer, "Shitlitz", Blatz etc.

Red Stripe for cheap, Fat Tire for Fancy.

Never understood the appeal of Guinness. The stuff's just plain bland if you ask me. There are a thousand other stouts I'd rather drink.

Dude, while I respect your right to drink whatever you want, including swill like Budweiser made not from 100 percent barley grain but mostly corn syrup, please get your facts straight: Honkers Ale is made by Goose Island Brewery out of Chicago, not Bell's in Kalamazoo.

You don't have to like beer, especially ales, made with tradtional yeasts and hops you can actually taste and smell, but just because you don't like it doesn't make it chickbooze, whatever the fuck that is. I could say because you like Bud and other "cheap" beer you are a dumb redneck mofo who likes to sit on his ass and watch cars go around in circles for hours.

But I won't.

Drink what you like and enjoy it. Cheers. :glugglug:

Wrong. Budweiser is cut by using 40% rice in its ingredients, not corn.
Rice of course has no flavour to speak of but using it enables the use of barley which would normally be considered only fit for cattle feed.
Other big US breweries use corn instead of rice , again for cheapness and to allow the use of low grade barley.
None of them (or Red Stripe, Corona or the like) can be considered to be proper beer.

I have a long list that I'm not posting here because only west coast Americans will understand, and very few of them at that will truly understand. So, at that, here's the SHORT list...

Lagunitas: Maximus, Hop Stoopid, Undercover Shutdown
Rogue: Double Dead Guy, Hazelnut Brown Nectar, Brutal Bitter

I'm fuckin' done. I don't even wanna try anymore around here... No one will understand what a good American micro tastes like. ESPECIALLY when it comes to those two breweries.
Your Newcastle/Guinness/Heineken/Rolling Rock/Red Stripe/Session whatever is shit. I understand Guinness is much different in EUROPE and for that I give leniency, if you praise it in America you just have diluted taste. The others etc... whatever...

Out of curiosity, name them. ALL. Coming from someone who considers Fat Tire "fancy" (it's honestly trashy around here) I'm not expecting much, but you got a chance...

Spleen

Banned?
Heineken and Guinness are my usual choices in a pub. Recently I'm really into Brahma, it tastes so good.
