IMO music using real instruments and singing along with a tune with actual musical notes. All you hear in rap is monotone talking with no singing whatsoever. I'll give you an example: "The Sound of Silence" is real music. It contains real musical intruments and actual singing and is one of the most important songs ever written. That is music. Now I'm not holding anything against you or people that like rap or hip hop, but as for me, neither one is music in my book.
