If you have small to medium sized hands, I think you'll like the Glock 19/9mm. I bought one for my mother several years ago. The only other pistol she'd ever shot was a Colt .38 Det. Special. She likes the Glock much better. Her eyes aren't so good now, so I'm going to have it fitted with a laser sight for her birthday.

Counting you, Bree and Chica, there are at least three adult models on here who are into guns. Have any of you ever wanted to make it down to the semi-annual machine gun shoot at Knob Creek, KY? It's not too far outside Louisville. It'll be April 9, 10 and 11 this year.

Well both my Glocks are 45's and they are stone cold reliable. My 1911 Springfield GI and Colt Gold Cup 45's look nice but are harder to keep operating, harder to conceal and heavy for extended carry. My Walther P99 in .40 S&W looks good and shoots great. But for me guns aren't fashion accessories, they are just tools.

I know they are not fashion accessories and reliablity counts for alot. However there is nothing saying a well cared for gun cannot look good and shoot great. Its the substance vs. style thing.... why have one or the other when you can get both.

I don't walk around open carrying a gun. My permits are for concealed carry. The idea is that it should not be seen. So I got rid of those nickel plated sissy pistols
