Is it considered gay if I ask for my **** to be served cold in a pub?

Nope. If you want tepid **** go for proper ****: stout or bitter. If you want lager it'll be cold. Some proper beers also do cold ranges now: extra cold Guinness, for example.

:glugglug:

It seems to be the trend now to serve beers "extra cold". Seems pretty pointless to me as it takes away the flavour, especially the extra cold guinness. Whoever thought of that should be shot.

Yeah I agree, probably just brought it in for Summer marketing bullshit.

Most beers sold extra cold haven't any flavour to start with.Even Guinness is only a shadow of what it was.Arthur Guinness would be spinning in his grave.

Good guide for finding good ****-avoid anything from a great big font.Avoid anything chilled, super chilled or extra cold, good **** doesn't need it.Avoid anything where it's dispensed by just opening a tap.In the UK you can't go far wrong with the rule of thumb that the best **** may well be the cheapest and the most expensive won't be the best but a giant ripoff.

would you say top gear is better then 5th gear ???

If you're under 50 - yes

If your over 50, smoke a pipe, wear cardigans and drive a Volvo, then 5th gear is the one for you...
(mind you, Vicki Butler-Henderson can polish my gearknob anytime she likes)

Oh no. I had no idea. I'm glad I asked. I would **** to hear my life is to be shortened suddenly. I wish all the best for Jade and her ******.

Those annoying tossers Robbie Williams and Elton John sing in strong fake American accents. Also, why do people think Hugh Laurie's accent in House is good? It's mediocre.

Never seeen House. Personally, though, I've never bought into Elton John or Robbie Williams. I like Elton John's tunes but can't stand either.

The "Ripper" ******* occurred at a time when the police ***** was evolving into something more "modern" and forensics etc were in *******! It was the end of an era when cholera, for example, was beginning to be sussed by concluding that victims were ******** from the same public taps.

There might have been more than one ********.

There were similar ******* happening in Whitechapel (East End) and in Southwark (just South of the river Thames).

What made the ******* different to other late Victorian crimes was their ********: other killings at the time were normally to do with money.

It is thought that the killer might have been a doctor or surgeon.

It is also thought that the killer might have been a nobleman/royalty.

Files in Scotland Yard pointing to his identity are alleged to point to royalty.

There were hoaxes involved.

The whole situation brought to light the plight of the poor - especially women - in Victorian London. Rather like a Dickens novel.

The ******* are oft seen as those of the first known "serial killer."

The ******* tell us much about Victorian prudence, sexual forbidding, hypocrisy and the vulnerability, and lack of statute among the urban poor at the time.

Ironically, the problem has not gone away..... :(

Some anatomical knowledge may have been present, but most learned scholars think Jack didn't need to be a surgeon and wasn't that skilled anyway.

As for the nobleman/royalty issue... utter rubbish.

More realistic suspects are.....
William Bury (********* and stabbed his wife to death)
Aaron Kosminski (insane)
James Kelly (stabbed his wife in the neck. she died)
Hyam Hyams (attacked more than 1 with a *****)

I don't think Hugh Laurie's accent is mediocre. I think he does a pretty good job at hiding his British accent. Maybe I'm just partial because that's my favorite show. :dunno:
