Sadly, I think in the future governments will start getting a better handle on controlling and regulating the Internet. It might have a wild wast feel to it now, and it has flaws because of that, but once it finally starts to become more regulated and manipulated I think people will look fondly at the point we are at now.

I think the frustration is in the 90's we had use-nets ,groups and message boards and was much easyer to find my fetish groups now it is impossible cannot even find one fetish group,web site or message board.

I think you're right. Look at China, they're the masters at walking the line between "censorship and freedom of information".

Yes people had geocite and would make own web pages , usenets ,MSN groups , google usenets or groups , yahoo groups ,clubs groups so on .

It was at its peak with groups ,message boards , usenets and about every person had to have its own web site . When myspace ,facebook and twitter came out it became next fad.

The x-rated sites became portals , multi purpose site , file sharing now.In past the groups ,message boards , usenets or web sites where dedicated for that topic.

Government and corporations will be rolled into one. The internet is not just about sex life and fetishs, it's a LOT bigger than that. Think business and social connections, research etc.
