those drugs don't make you see things that aren't already there. they just open your brain up to accepting the information that it is already perceiving unaware, largely in the sub-conscious, but externally as well. they problem is that most people don't go any further, they don't attempt to make sense of that information or reprogram their senses, so instead of a filter, you just have like an open window that blows through and then out. you end up with a trippy experience, but it doesn't really get you anywhere.
I suppose that is enough for some, but I wouldn't recommend using hallucinogens if your goal is just to have a recreational good time.
Calpoon this time unlike the other thread on racism in porn I do have to disagree with you lol.Ever done LSD on any other hallucinagen? Take my word for it you see many things that aren't really there.I don't know anyone who ever did them and didnt have hallucinations. You are right about the doors being opened to the subconcious too though, and a of lot of that is fleeting but not all.And your are right they are too powerfull to be just used for recreation as well IMO.I don't think that religion was just devised by people on such mind altering substances though, although some of the stories sure sound like it.I think religion was something devised by people who saw themselves as an elite looking for something to control the masses.Laws with a much higher authority then mere men.In ancient times it really was very few who had any education and religious ones like monks were part of the educated elite. It was just a way to control the uneducated masses IMO.
