I actually watched this not cause my bro tried his best to encourage me or cause it got such good reviews from the critics(Not really on the impact of the message Cameron is trying to get across but of just its general entertainment value and revolutionary movie making techniques when it comes to the graphics and such)
Nope I watched it to see why it merited an anti Avatar thread

Have to say I wasnt keen due to the actual 3D and jungle dung but after watching it, I found it quite enjoyable but also theres alot of shit going on in it and I suspect that it will get better critical analysis at a later date ya know recognised as a masterpiece and such.
Though having said that I can understand how right wing folks would simply hate it, Its quite anti industrial and also is a painful reminder of how us white folks well not us personally but our ancestors displaced quite a few indigneous people and the damage done to the natural environment, and habitats.
Also probably known Cameron's views on corporations and it really shines through in this movie, But I think instead of jumping on the nay sayer bandwagon. Good old entrepreneurs need to find ways of making capitalism work in a positive way yet remain profitable like a show I watch on cattle raunching in Brazil, was quite interesting.
But yea I also found the ending very interesting even though its pretty much new age or eastern mysticism on energy and such. Which prompted in me the question, I think humans will want to come here for this so called second chance at life. Like think about it, rich folks who near there death would probably pay mulla to get transported there and body swap, sure they be big blue guys and have to live a primitive but very healthy I imagine lifestyle. Beautiful scenery and it is pretty much another shot on the wheel, fook the ore lol.
