Yeah, but are we not talking about the fact that this series has been reduced to recycling already well played characters? Honestly, they got lucky with the Heath Ledger Joker, and if he didn't tragically pass, I don't know if the role gets the same buzz it did after his death. Michelle Pfeiffer played Catwoman flawlessly, and anyone after will just be a second class bit (shout out to Halle Berry). Nicholsons Joker kills Ledgers, and Tim Burtons interpretation is far and away better than all others.

Let's face it, this concept is built way more for TV than it is the big screen. With shows like Smallville, Heroes, and most recently The Cape, it suprises me that Batman has not been remade for television. This way, the characters have time to develop without rehashing them every couple films. HBO has the budget and the cache... what are they waiting on for this???

Ledger was a joke as an actor and a ridiculously incredible joker, yes even before he died. Anyone that even considers comparing Nicholson to Ledgers joker is lying to themself and everyone else on earth. Nicholson was Nicholson in 100% of his roles that werent the helen hunt movie dude, Ledger was the joker.

Pfeiffer was annoying as hell, which is pretty much the role of catwoman. Hathaway is cute, she may not be great, but really what actress is actually worth their salary.

You seem to be stuck on what came first, all the Nolan Batmans are 3000 times better then the previous adaptations, youd have to be blind to argue that.

As much as I like Keira, I think she is a little flat chested for the role. My favourite catwoman to date is Halle Berry. The film may not have been great, but she was. Anne Hathaway I am not sure about - doesn't seem quite svelte enough for me, but I'm sure they know what they are doing. We shall see.

I wonder how Amanda Seyfried would have fit the part, I agree her & Mila Kunis may have made very interesting choices for the part. I have the complete opposite feeling in regards to most posts in the thread regarding Michelle Pfeifer's portrayal of the character... I thought she stunk it up... not as bad as Halle but pretty wretched. Maybe I just didn't get the character growing up and I am referring to the comic character. Uh... I don't think Anne could possibly do worse than has already been done. Here's hoping to a success for one of the sexiest fictional characters in creation. :glugglug:
