Anne Hathaway as catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises - What do you think?

Yeah, but are we not talking about the fact that this series has been reduced to recycling already well played characters? Honestly, they got lucky with the Heath Ledger Joker, and if he didn't tragically pass, I don't know if the role gets the same buzz it did after his death. Michelle Pfeiffer played Catwoman flawlessly, and anyone after will just be a second class bit (shout out to Halle Berry). Nicholsons Joker kills Ledgers, and Tim Burtons interpretation is far and away better than all others.
Ledger's Joker and Nicholson's are different Batman franchises though aren't they?
Let's face it, this concept is built way more for TV than it is the big screen. With shows like Smallville, Heroes, and most recently The Cape, it suprises me that Batman has not been remade for television. This way, the characters have time to develop without rehashing them every couple films. HBO has the budget and the cache... what are they waiting on for this???

I agree. I was wondering why the tv version hasn't been remade yet. Maybe we should be grateful as they'd probably screw it up.

Did I call it or what?:D

As I posted before Catwoman is the logical choice for the villain in the next Batman film.

You mean for the Dark Knight franchise? Like The Joker, they already did her for Batman....It only makes sense I guess as they go through the Dark Knight character saga....

I'm glad to see Bane as the villain. Nolan will make him more 3 dimensional as opposed to the Bane in that other batman movie, which I would rather forget.

Bane is an underrated villain in the Batman franchise IMO and hopefully Nolan's movie will lead to a surge in his popularity. I just hope they can have him get hulked up in a way that's sensible. If I remember correctly, pumping yourself full of venom doesn't give you super human strength.

i don't really care,i've never seen the dark night or the most recent one either and i probably won't ever watch it. the only batman i like is michael keaton's in 1989 and 1992....well i also think val kilmer and george clooney were both decent as batman.but no one can compare to michael keaton and tim burton....but i think she can be a good catwoman

We'll see I guess.
I doubt it will be crap but I am not the biggest fan of this series although I do very much indeed enjoy Nolan's films.

Bane?!? Oh fuck no!

Bull-fuckin'-shit. They're now on their C-D plan for this movie, recycling characters, and the series is just plain played out. End this series right damn now!!!!

These writers, producers, directors and all of them get paid MEGA$......and they resurrect these movies..aren't they creative enough to make something new?

Or

Are today's movie goers that stupid to support "RERUNS"

like The Green Hornet, Superman, Rocky, Rambo; etc

To make it worse they give themselves awards telling us how great the movie is........

There are movies made beyond Hollywood, even beyond America's borders. Movies that are more original, entertaining & thought provoking. Watch them, before the yanks make a fuckawful remake!

I like the pick I think that if they get kind of go the same way as the Joker it could work besides Catwoman at time has been an ally of Batman maybe that might happen here

I like her and I like this news. I disagree with people who say she can't act (now Natalie Portman, that's another story).

If were're going with actresses in their mid-late 20s, I'd rather see Keira Knightley, but whatever.
