Well i'm sure Hathaway is doing her reasearch. Give her a large dildo and some kitties to play with and we will see a big difference.

I did not like Michelle Pfeiffer as a good Catwoman, nor was Heath Ledger the right Joker material. They plaid good, but they took the roles to places I found no more what they are about.

The Joker, for me, is not that smeared face, and the Cat Woman is not a hyper-psyched, shivering mess. She is a very self-secured, buxom powerhouse. The archetype of the strong woman.

As of yet, I do not see that in Hathaway... but I will wait and see how she does.

Selina Kyle... a powerhouse????????? When and where did this happen. Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal of SeLina Is accurate. She is far from self-confident or self-secured as Selina, and gains it after becoming Catwoman. Further, she is not buxom. She is a feline-like thief. Being buxom completely goes against her physical cat-like ability.

Also, Catwoman is not physically strong whatsoever, and can quite easily be overpowered, but is extremely difficult to get your hands on (you know... like a cat). Her main strength is seducution, which she uses to get who she wants in a position that favors her both physically and mentally. Let's leave the buxom powerhouse thing to Wonder Woman, shall we?

Well, from the Barman comics I read, she always was on the buxom side. But if you have the impression she must be a different type, thats fine.

I will watch the movie and then put in my :2 cents:

But Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman was a borderline schizophrenic which the character from the comic books is definitely not; she is a thief, a thrill-seeker, and occasionally a heroine.

Yes. Selina Kyle is the mentally fragile everyday woman... she doesn't become the thrill seeking thief until she becomes Catwoman.

Catwoman is the anti-Batman, as Harley Quinn is the anti-Joker. As Batman once said: Bruce Wayne is the costume, Batman is who I am. Catwoman is the total opposite. Catwoman is not who Selina Kyle is, which is why she is the occasional heroine. Because she's a bit emotionally fragile, Selina get overlooked. It's not until her accident that she comes to grips with the fact that she is emotionally shattered and needs to embrace her inner bad-ass.

I'm watching some specialist videos
I like her and I like this news. I disagree with people who say she can't act (now Natalie Portman, that's another story).

If were're going with actresses in their mid-late 20s, I'd rather see Keira Knightley, but whatever.

As much as I like Keira, I think she is a little flat chested for the role. My favourite catwoman to date is Halle Berry. The film may not have been great, but she was. Anne Hathaway I am not sure about - doesn't seem quite svelte enough for me, but I'm sure they know what they are doing. We shall see.

Nolan has done great on two straight Batman movies. Let's see if he can pull off the trifecta. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I like the actors that have been announced for Catwoman and Bane,I just don't like the fact that Catwoman and Bane are going to be in the next movie.

It's old hat,and we've seen these characters before, that's what makes the first movie so great. No one outside of comic nerds had any idea who Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow were. Now of course you had to put in Joker at some point, but this is just seeming like Nolan it putting in too many characters, just like how Schumaker did.

Hugo Strange,Catwoman, and Bane?Just seems a bit much to me.And isn't Bane Hispanic? Why the hell is Tom Hardy playing him?I thought for sure that he was going to play Strange.

Seems like they are trying to deviate away from the whole mob story lines just a bit too.

If it were up to me,the villain would have been Black Mask for the next movie, with Talia as the female lead.

I know Nolan has been consistently good with his films but I'm still preparing myself to be disappointed just in case it's a bad movie.

Agreement. In fact Halle Berry had a physical resemblance to the Catwoman of Frank Miller's Batman: Year One which was an influence on Batman Begins.

Hathaway as Catwoman might actually work.

GLAD to see Bane's in this. Much prefer him over some b-grade choice like Black Mask. Hugo Strange would have been ok.

All in all, Nolan has taken a novel approach to the casting. Especially with Bane. But looking forward to this. Yes I am.

I remember that's what I thought when I had heard they chose Heath Ledger as the Joker. I was wrong. Very wrong. So now, I'm gonna give Nolan the benefit of the doubt for his choice on this one too

Well said...

I love the choice as Anne Hathaway is beyond gorgeous, sexy and an outstanding actress.

Does anybody think the people that played Catwoman from the old television show are still the best and hottest ones there have been? :D
