So, Marco Ambrose's punch make headlines in the US? I can tell you when all Australian race fans became aware of what happened, all of them were thinking he should've done the same thing to a total fuckwit named Greg Murphy, at Bathurst in 05.

Yeah it got a decent amount of press here, but it seems that the attention has shifted to the penalties handed out

Anthony Davidson, Nicolas Lapierre and Sebastien Buemi took their second win in two races in their Toyota Racing Toyota TS040 hybrid with a dominant victory at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium in front of a massive crowd that numbered in excess of 46,000 over the two days. The early pace was set by the no14 Porsche of Neel Jani but a slow pitstop allowed the Toyota to get ahead, a lead the trio never lost until the chequered flag.

In LMP2 the day belonged to G-Drive Racing as Roman Rusinov, Olivier Pla and Julien Canal also won their second race in two starts in 2014.

Red was the dominant colour in LMGTE as the Italian AF Corse team took victory in both the Pro and Am categories. 2013 GTE World Champion Gianmaria Bruni and his Finnish team mate in the No.51 F458 Italia put on a dominant display to secure the team’s second consecutive victory at Spa and their first of the 2014 season. The No.61 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia of Marco Cioci, Mirko Venturi and Luis Perez-Companc was always a strong contender for victory in the LMGTE Am category, and started the race from the class pole position and led for nearly the entire race.

The next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship will be the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 14/15 June, with the official test day on the 1 June.

With its 24 Hours of Le Mans program confirmed, Dempsey Racing could be adding additional FIA World Endurance Championship outings to its schedule later this year.

Team co-principal Joe Foster confirmed to Sportscar365 that talks are underway to run its new Porsche 911 RSR in select rounds following the French endurance classic, with an eye towards a possible full-season attack in 2015.

Went to the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis and loved it. Paid $25 to see four races, and it was totally worth it. All four races were competitive and exciting. The crowd was also much bigger than what I expected it to be. Just an awesome day overall.

The only blemish on the day was the pole-sitter for the IndyCar race Sebastián Saavedra stalling his car at the start leading to a horrible crash. Once they got past that though, the race was fantastic.

Another superb drive by Lewis Hamilton to take his 4th F1 GP win in a row.
Even though teammate Nico Rosberg was quicker on newer faster tyres, he just couldn't take Lewis on the final lap.
Mercedes dominated once more beating Ricciardo in the Red Bull by nearly 50 seconds.
Hats off to Vettel, who managed a creditable 4th place having started 15th on the grid.

Roll on Monaco.

Jari-Matti Latvala wins in Argentina in the WRC. Sebastien Ogier is still the prohibitive favorite for the championship. Kris Meeke makes the podium and possibly saves his job (although I don't know how in danger he was of losing it). My personal fave, Robert Kubica came in a respectable 6th.

Next stop: Sardinia.

Biggest auto racing weekend of the year!!!
F1 - Monte Carlo
Nascar Cup - 600 mile race at Charlotte
IndyCar - Indy 500

Australian GT series is on this weekend. Does that count? I never think of the 600, whenever there's a Monaco/Indy double. I think only Mario Andretti has been able to compete in both on the same year?

Even though he was getting on a bit, and you knew his was in shithouse health. I doesn't make it feel any better at Sir Jack's passing. A real blow. A way to emphasise what a mammoth achievement it is to build you own car and win an F1 title with it (let alone 3 titles, on it's own), is to build your own Formula Ford/Vee, and see if you can win a state/regional title with it.

Tomorrow is my favorite day of the year. It's the Indy 500. :D

I'll be rooting mostly for Marco Andretti and Graham Rahal. I'd be happy with any American driver winning the race (except for Kurt Busch). I also don't want to see JPM in victory lane.

If I had to pick a winner, I'd go with Scott Dixon or Helio Castroneves. I could also see Carpenter, Pagenaud, Kanaan, Hinch, Power, or Hunter-Reay. That's the great thing about this year's race: there are a bunch of cars with a legitimate chance to win. Should be an awesome day.

You got what you wanted.

You've named a 1/4 of the field. You only just got there with your last pick!
