Many of these retractions by celebrities or politicians are more suspicious than the original story themselves. All the lawyers, agents, and other management get together and then a day or so later suddenly things were taken "out of context" or they "misremembered" or "misspoke". Having said that and taking this "story" as a credible piece of journalism (which I doubt it is)...Alicia Keys probably should stop reading those Black Panthers Biographies especially since the Black Panther leaders are all old, bitter Republicans now...even the late EazyE flirted with the 'Pubs. :dunno:

Gangsta Rap was a "protest" movement against the "crap rap" coming out of New York, basically. Then it became copied and commercialized to death. It's hardly a "real art form" because it's morphed into being nothing more then timely and easily forgotten upscale brand advertisements....

Btw, Alicia Keys is a mediocre pianist. Any 4 yr old could play the hook in "Fallen" with about 1 month of practice...
