I like FreeOnes, love posting here, but I have noticed there are not a lot of Hip Hop fans. I was surprised to see even the name "Akon" mentioned.

Akon has had a lot of chart-toping songs. Including holding the number 1 and 2 spot simotaniously, twice. No artist has ever done that! I was surprised no one heard of him.

I'm a huge hip hop fan so I know who Akon is. I don't own any of his music, but I've liked a lot of hits, had some nice club-bangers.

Unfortunately hip-hop, rap is mostly watered down with little talent now a days! and thats cuz everybody distributes their own material even though for the most part it sucks ass!

You honestly think any major record label would be supporting, releasing, marketing, and paying these rappers..artists..etc... that suck???

Most of it is watered down one hit wonders just to get a great club banger and hopefully get rich off of it!!

hip hop and rap are not like it used to be!!! you had to have game, and talent to survive in the world of rap!!

so that said I think most people are just sick of anybody makin a CD!!

some are good, great, spectacular, but most are not!! just my POV on the sentiment of this forum @ least??? if not just this forum, maybe most street fans! you know what I'm talkin bout!! :yinyang::2 cents::hatsoff:

Topping the charts only means your songs are generic enough for everybody to like. Its not like before, when actually good albums and songs would top the charts.

I didnt say he was a great artist, just that I'm surprised a lot of people havent heard of him because of his success. He even threw someone off the stage at his concert and practically gangbanged Tera Reid. Something you porn fans should like.

I agree, hip hop isnt what it use to be. I find myself a little more selective these days. Like guys like Lil Wayne(I like 30% of what he puts out, which is a lot).

I think it comes down to what area/grew-up around. I live all over(Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, and now South Florida) so I like all kinds of music. I've always been open-minded.

Hip hop is exploding here in South Florida so a lot of people generally like hip hop. Especially if you go clubs, which generally play hip hop, r&b, reggae, reggae-tone, and latin music.
