Agnostics and atheists, do you celebrate Christmas?

Why wouldnt we celebrate the Winter Solstice / Mithra's birthday?

There really isnt anything more humorous than the hubris of.christians......

I love the retards who get offended over "Xmas"...what was the first NT book after Acts? What is the Roman letter for "Chi" (Christ)? Dumbass

I think I can celebrate Mardis Gras, too, without being Catholic

I don't celebrate the religious side of Christmas, I believe that is becoming rarer these days. Instead I focus on what it has become, a time for family to get together, eat food, get drunk and share gifts.

I personally don't see Christmas as a religious holiday it's just a time to get together and be with family.
This is the way I see it. I take every excuse I can to get paid extra, have a day off, and drink - be it Christmas, Easter, Independence Day (though I obviously get little benefit of that holiday outside of the States), whatever.

Life's too short not to celebrate...well, life.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
How do kids raised in the Church of Satan celebrate Christmas though?

I'll have dinner with family, and that's about it.No exchanging of gifts or any of that nonsense.

For some reason my family celebrates Easter even though we don't go to church again I think this is just tradition but it baffles me.

Why not? Just because I don't believe in a god or religion doesn't make me an asshole who doesn't believe in having fun.

Easter was named after Eoster (The Saxon Goddess), and there were festivals near/on the spring equinox every year.

And it got mixed with the story of Attis, who died every year and was reborn 3 days later.....

That and a bunch of other twists and turns, but thats a novel all to itself to explain.

Easter comes from the Greek term Paschal, actually.

No I don't.In fact I hate Xmas.

Especially if you don't have much going for you in life or you aren't a naturally jolly person. This can often make xmas and the new year an ordeal at best

I'm an Atheist and no I don't celebrate it. I will "celebrate" it when invited by those who do celebrate Christmas. I like the "inner" part of it. About getting together, but that has drifted away. Today Christmas has become so artificial, it's drifted away from it's traditions. So in a sense, not many people truly celebrate it either, non-believers and believers alike.
