A little rant about Iraq supporters

To everyone: thanks for the all the well wishes for my *** and the sympathy for the lose of my oldest.
I guess I just got a little tweeked after the conversation I had with someone the other day and how I've heard the same excuses from the same types of people since my *** volunteered to go.

mate i think you`r spot on. look at the history of u.s. military engagements over the last 200 yrs. or so- its the blue collar **** who get sacrificed to serve the needs of the elite- politicians, lobby groups, captains of industry. these people intended on invading iraq from the moment george w was sworn in. my heart goes out to you and everyone else who has lost a loved one in this madness

Okay, I'm going to pick on you.
You can "get fit enough" if you really believe.

I.e., I fully admit I'm a lazy fuck now and making too much money.
Although if they call for a draft, I might have to reconsider.

I've had a good life, and it's not fair to **** who haven't yet.

Im not fit enough right now...neither physical nor psychical...but I work on it!

I really want to do it...but the Army would never "pick" me with my current physical and psychical condition...

As a war veteran who just retired after 23 years in the Army, I have seen first hand what you are talking about. First off I'd like to say sorry to hear about your loss and wish your ****** the best. Alot of these fence sitters allow their ******** to come in and go through basic training and do reserve time or national guard. that way they have done their so called service and can avoid any future draft and get military credit to later run for office or federal benefits. the war has truly screwed alot of these paper soldiers in that most reserve units at one time or another ended up deployed to Iraq or Afganistan. I see alot of dignataries and politicians in the war zone and I made it a point to ask them if any of there ****** was serving over here or had served. shockingly very few had .
