I have always seen the Winter Solstice as the beginning of the beginning of winter myself.

I think of Winter Solstice as a turning point, the sunlight starts to extend the light of day e.g. the sun sets later, then the blossoms pop open, it gets warmer, the babes begin to wear their spring & summer attire :yummie: :bowdown: I can't wait !!
