31 American troops killed in Afghan helicopter crash

31 of anybody dying in an instant on the face of this earth is a news story ... freak.
Er I am not a freak as you put it. My argument was that in war people die that's the point else it wouldn't be war & my full post made reference to previous wars & the huge numbers of deaths incurred which would have made for alarming news reports. The issue is if we are going to report every time someone looses their life in conflict it becomes ridiculous. The issue is this, since the Vietnam debacle America wants to be able to win a war without any casualties in its ranks. A stupid notion but a few years ago there was an attempt to hide the reality of military deaths in conflict from the press, now its gone the other way!!

.......and still Meg has yet to offer condolences for the 31 dead. Quite telling.

Indeed, it's telling in that it shows the depths you'll sink to in order to prove that you're a bigger patriot than someone else, in this case it's using the deaths of 31 people. Classy :hatsoff:

I wonder who the families of all the soldiers who have died in that place believe are being more respectful towards the dead- those who want to end the war or those who stick their little heads up on internet forums and type RIP while insisting the conflict continue.

RIP. These soldiers were some of the finest in the world and died doing what they loved. Condolences to their families.

Just a thought, Tri...

So after getting negative rep from a couple of people online (I don't give a crap about reps) with almost identical verbiage only a minute apart (hmmm...think something is up there?) I found I can just change my profile and filter them out!

I don't have to look at their hypocritical nonsense in their reps, emails, and postings.

Makes FreeOnes a much more enjoyable experience. Very efficient.

I wish the rest of the world was like FreeOnes. If you could just filter out the idiots, life would be that much better. :)

:troll::dislike::facepalm:

It's about empathy and caring for those who lost their lives. Something you're obviously incapable of.

Meanwhile...you're still bumping and debating this...(posting :rofl 2: and shit like there's a joke somewhere in this other than in your profile...not sure what at all could prompt that in a thread like this...'telling'. But knock yourself out.)

It's customary for military vets to give condolences for their fellow fallen.
Interesting how you haven't done so considering you're supposed to be in your words, "a former member of Frank Carlucci's armed forces".:o

For example the website below has former and currently serving armed forces members offering condolences.

So? Its not mandatory to offer condolences. . .we'd be doing it all the bloody time the way this 'war' is going!!

Are you really this thick? You know every online or otherwise community I'm a part of?

I suppose to every other member of this board who's read my posts knows how absolutely idiotic you sound trying to criticize me on this except for maybe a couple of your tweedle dee and tweedle dumber lap dogs.

Have fun Trying....

Naaaah, it isn't, but I think if you're going to jaw about it that much, it is just a decent thing to do.

Well it's a bit late for Meg to do so. His inaction spoke volumes and revealed who/what he isn't.

Yes it does. & your comments speak volumes about you, what an amazing person you are for saying RIP & stuff on a internet messageboard. You are just simply like so wonderful. . .

It's clear this is a joke to him. While out of the one side of his mouth he utters rip and out of the other he's joking a flim-flaming this into a merry go round game...

I don't see anything amusing about this....nor to further discuss.

You're right mrtre...it does speak volumes about tri...

This isn't about me.

So, 31 Seals from the same unit that gunned down an unarmed Osama, and also shot his unarmed wife, get shot down themselves. At least they were armed when that rocket-propelled grenade came in. 'Brave' soldiers? give me a break.

I also lose all sympathy for that campaign in general when I read reports such as this:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/jul/11/cia-fake-vaccinations-osama-bin-ladens-dna

How many kids died because their parents believed they were inoculated against Hepatitis, when it was all a con by the CIA? Does the CIA or the US care?

First I read of that. Seems like the least the CIA could have done would have been to at least give the vaccinations.

They didn't comment. I'm sure there is a good reason for it.
