lol Jagger. Yeah that got real ugly.
But there's been a lot of that going around today. TCU struggling mightily with SMU. Ohio St. all out to beat Northern Illinois. Auburn getting shelled by LSU. USC on the ropes against Stanford. Smoknn's roooollll tiiiideeeeeeeeeeeeeee's stuck in some real deep Mississippi mud at the moment.

The one true image of beauty is that BYU is up 7 zip on UCLA :D

This is the reason that polls shouldn't be done until October. At least wait until after the fourth week. The top ten is going to get shuffled around big time. If Mizzou and Auburn don't both get dropped out of the top 25 I call bullshit. If I had to do a top 5 right now I would go 1: TCU 2: Sparty 3: Baylor 4: Ohio State and 5: Notre Dame. I seriously doubt that ND stays there and I wouldn't really be against Georgia being put there. This is going to be a fun year.

(hank hill) i tell you whad..........since we playing our first conference game today against a team that has scored 149 points in the past two games...why dont we bench a QB that is 2-0 and start another guy for shits and giggles. i thought throwing the ball up for grabs for ohio st to screw us out of a NC spot last year was bad enough...now this last night. we got beat! that is on one side of the table...i have seen Alabama get beat by a better team before. (its fun watching the other team tear the goal post down) but when you lose and look back at sheer ignorance coming from a offensive squad that is making more money a week than i do a year...i expect more.

this just in..Alabama will host the very first dumbazz bowl this year....that is all...

As for Texas....

Man I really was hurtin for you at the end of that game. What a way to lose. Holy crap

My top 6 right how would probably be 1) LSU, 2) Ohio State, 3) Mississippi, 4) Bama 5) Georgia 6) Sparty (although as you noted the Ducks QB really was having legit finger issues in that game).

Well of course I'm kicking myself a little the day after that I didn't load up big on BYU and the points. For once what looked like a pot of gold laying on the ground actually was one. But so be it - better to be a little cautious I think than to ignore years of costly "too good to be true" looking betting lines. Still made enough dinero to keep me and smoknn stocked up on pork rinds for a few weeks :1orglaugh

PS: The day after the natives appear very VERY restless with Cutty Sark at USC :D
Thankfully for the beleaguered coach, Arizona State is off to such a *blah* beginning this year the Trojans will probably bounce back with a W on Saturday.

bodie dont get to high on LSU yet....after JSU got the best out of auburn last week i kinda forgave them...but after LSU beat their ears off saturday... Auburn may be worse than i thought. Miss st gave LSU a run for their money last week. EVEN THO Ohio st is hanging on a blade of grass..i cant see them anything but # 1 at the moment. :suspicious:. ole miss has a decent team..but dont look for them to get free fumbles on the opening kickoff and bounced touchdowns off the camera man and every team start their B team QB like we did. i gave ole Miss and 9...when you know you made a mistake and are about to lose the first minute of the game...you got something figured out. and when i seen who we were starting at QB i went on and put a X for loss on this game. usually about this time of year...the elite start pulling away i dont see it this year. unless it is Georgia. guess who we play Oct 3............. bring that BS to Georgia they may need 2 scoreboards.

Yeah of course you're probably right about Auburn, but I still like the way LSU has come out of the blocks. Their cupcake warm up game got cancelled, they went down to Starkville and won, then dominated Auburn. But I just now looked at what's ahead for them and they have to play @ Bama and @ Old Miss ...so they better turn out to be REAL good or that double feature will blow out their party candles.

lol
You heard it here first...you WILL beat Georgia in Athens. There now, don't you feel better now that I've guaranteed you that win? :1orglaugh

Whatever hopes UCLA had of at least winning the PAC 12 just went up in smoke. Already staggered by two major losses of defensive starters, as of today their all world, all purpose LB Miles Jack is now also out for the season with a blown knee.

Looks to me now like the PAC12 will be pretty wild this year, with nobody escaping with less than two conference losses.
Definitely no final four contender, and quite probably no team in the top 10.

There may be silent pockets of realistic U of M fans but the vocal majority around here have been talking about maybe ten wins this year. I think that they will be Bowl eligible but their fans are insane.

Is it possible we were wrong and UM might end up with 10 wins this season?
I was thinking no way but after today I'm beginning to wonder a bit...

Well they do have Northwestern, Sparty and Ohio State at home. I still see them losing at least two of those. Going to Minnesota is never an easy task. I still see them getting 8 wins. A lot of it will depend on how much traction these rumors about Harbaugh being one and done gets.

For the second week in a row, Texas blows a game they could definitely have won due strictly to a bad kick....last week, a missed extra point against Cal and today a fumbled snap by the punter to set up OSU for he winning field goal. In spite of this, however, I am encouraged by the progress this young team is showing. The defense is really coming together and Heard, although raw, is an awesome talent at QB. Now that Steve Patterson is out of the way as AD, I really hope the board of regents gives Strong a couple of years to get this back on track. Nearly every starter on both sides of the ball is either a true freshman or redshirt. The future is bright but the present is pretty agonizing.

They let Mack Brown stay way too long and now they're paying the price. We'll be back....it just won't be now.

Ducks getting absolutely :horse: to :baconsalt: by Utah.

Not surprised by this at all. Utah gets no love but they are a tough, solid team.

So how do we view the Michigan State/Oregon game in the wake of this?

UCLA demolished Arizona but I didn't think Arizona was much anyway. Still an uplifting win for the Bruins after the Jack injury.

OK, four games in for almost everybody and the polls should see another shakeup this week. So here we go.

1: Baylor
2: Ohio State
3: Georgia
4: Michigan State
5: TCU
6: Notre Dame
7: Ole Miss
8: UCLA
9: LSU
10: Utah

Sparty is taking on way too many injuries. The Irish need to play someone before I can really buy into them. Ohio State still has the best talent and they played better today but they still need to put it together. Now that we are getting into the heart of the season things should really start getting fun.

baylor is overrated .....TCU is overrated...ole miss is overrated the first team baylor and tcu plays with a rude defense they are finished. and its not going to be raining lucky charms every game for ole miss like it was in T town last week. vandy was all in their face 3 qtrs. the way i see it ohio st is number one till someone hands them a L. if and i did say if...what IF bama goes to athens next week and beats georgia...what we going to do with them? to bad georgia is not playing baylor and bama is not playing tcu...we could see how high the grass was next sunday. so could the QB for baylor and tcu....after they woke up.....one thing i see for sure...next week between the hedges when the smoke clears one of the elite will emerge. one more thing before i go...i have a new name for Tennessee ...Penelope some will know what i mean..some wont . if you have any idea you are right!

Bama playing TCU or Baylor would be real ugly. Bama would run all over either one, but at the same time, both of them would set a passing record against the Tide defense as Bama's secondary is horrible. This would be one of those games where both teams score over 60 points and the winner is whoever has the ball last.

when a QB has time for a receiver to run 60 yds pass and catch is simple. count to three...that is all the time he would have. against georgia or bama. that is if we play the A team..............

baylor is overrated .....TCU is overrated...

Agree.

ole miss is overrated

Possibly. Not so sure about this yet. They kinda figured to let down big time for the Vandy game.

i have a new name for Tennessee ...Penelope some will know what i mean..some wont . if you have any idea you are right!

lol I don't know but I'm sure I'd agree with you lol is the word "choke" involved? lol
