I find that living in America, the coverage shows only the events in which the Americans medal. While I understand the mentality behind this, it undermines the spirit of the games, I think.

Did anyone else watch that USA v. Nigeria basketball game? Holy shit. USA wins 156-73 (83 point margin and highest point total in Olympic history), the team shot well over 70% from the field, had 41 combined assists (Olympic record) made 29 3-pointers (Olympic record), Melo hit 10 3 pointers and had 37 points which is a single-game record for an American. If the Americans had just used their "3-pointer points" they would have won by 14. Unbelievable, everyone was on. Great game to watch.

Spain, Argentina, and Mexico each have a basketball game. Do you think they would reserve that block of time on Telemondo to broadcast it live? Oh, hell no. I wonder how NBC is going to fuck up the soccer and boxing for Telemundo. They have a basketball and a soccer channel. Can't they toss some of the other sports on these channels just for the olympics? 200 hours of airtime per day on 8 channels to fill and I have to sit through Seacrest.

Back to NBC. They're not showing the qualification rounds to anything, todays coverage started into the match, and the idiot commentator was blathering away during the scoring. What a fiasco. I'm so fucking pissed at this travesty of a network/website.
