Just saw that there is a 2 hour show about that 2012 doomsday story on the History Channel tonight. Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the theory that the world is going to end on Dec 23 2012. Personally I think it is all bullshit.

I don't really care. If it happens, I hope it'll be quick so that I don't have to suffer much, but the safest bet is to assume it's not going to happen.

If you assume it will end & it doesn't you'll have wasted a few good years of your life (you probably won't work towards promotion, marrying (if you're not married), kids, etc).

The Mayan long count calendar ends a cycle December 21, 2012. From there most likely a new cycle begins with no more "Doomsday" than happened on Jan 1, 2000.

I bet they are incredibly fast, with twice the normal strength of regular apes, and they probably do something cool, like spit grape flavored soda at their opponents to temporarily blind them.
