Oh, did Ivy Tech Community College already have a game scheduled that night?

Yes, as a matter of fact they were playing the Indiana School for the Blind. It's exhibition play though. It doesn't matter who you play because it doesn't affect anything - ranking or record. Every team plays a nobody for their first game of the year. Purdue is no different.

That same University of Indianapolis beat Tennessee. By 15. :1orglaugh

That's what they get for still employing a cheat and liar at coach whose players like to get arrested.

Well-fought game between Pittsburgh and Rhode Island tonight - URI could be the dark horse team in the Atlantic 10 conference this year if they can consistently hit their shots and properly execute their pressure defense against opposing teams.

ESPN's college hoops marathon starts in less than 10 hours from now, and we could see plenty of entertaining non-conference games when the clock strikes 12 AM ET. Keep your eyes on #6 Ohio State visiting #11 Florida on Tuesday; I would like to see how highly-touted tOSU freshman Jared Sullinger performs in the national spotlight.

A marquee women's hoops matchup for Tuesday night; #2 Baylor visits #1 UConn, and I'm predicting that the UConn women will squeak by the Bears and increase their winning streak to 80 games.

The Miami Hurricanes put up a good 1st half agianst #19 Memphis - Miami coach Frank Haith believes that they could a be top 5 ACC team this year, and if their guard tandem of Malcolm Grant and Durand Scott can keep putting up solid numbers each game, this squad can do a lot of damage down the road.

Great finish between Miami and Memphis; Miami's downfall, however, came to their poor 3-point shooting, 11 missed free throws, and lack of frontcourt depth on their roster. Memphis still has some work to do themselves, but they still have time to mature as a young group when it comes to playing vital games prior to Selection Sunday.

This just in: Duke is looking as good as advertised!

Coach K has a very formidable squad this year, just as I predicted months ago. Irving, Curry, Singler, and the Plumlees are sure to out execute the field this year. Not to mention the Blue Devils will welcome Austin Rivers next year... it's gonna tough on Duke haters for a good long while.

I think I may be falling in love with Jinxy... finally, a woman that knows what a real basketball program looks like. I'd glady camp out at Cameron with you, sweetie!!!

Yes, Duke has the look! Perhaps another back-to-back National Championship? :D
Irving and Curry have really impressed me. Smith, Singler, and the Plumlee boys are definitely showing us their strong side.

I've never been to Cameron. :( Anyone wanna take me? ;)

Devastating OT loss Southern Illinois suffered today; there's nothing more frustrating than pulling an ill-advised "Chris Webber" timeout in a tied ballgame in OT.

Duke has blown it first/second round with just as talented teams. They won't be going back to back, if they do it would be because of Nolan not anorexic Singler.

Solid win the fifth-ranked Buckeyes picked up at #10 Florida; with a scary lineup featuring the likes of Sullinger, Lighty, Buford, Diebler, and Lauderdale, tOSU is certainly a force to be reckoned with come tourney time.
