2009/2010 WORLD Football (EPL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc)

Inter? That's Italian, right. I'll support them, for sure. Here's hoping they get a few touchdowns. :D:hi::mad:

I'm guessing the logic in signing Cesc (as well as Villa) is that we'll sell Ibrahimovic and play Iniesta more prominently in the front 3. Otherwise it seems like alot of needless spending, cuz midfield is loaded unless Iniesta is pushed up. Then that would make the frontline loaded unless someone else leaves alongside Henry. Where we should be spending money is on Javier Mascherano.

Yea the Villa deal has just been confirmed, around £35 million according to Sky Sports News here in the UK. They say he is going to have a medical on Friday....

I'm a Liverpool supporter, please don't buy Mascherano, our team will be ruined without him lol!

La Liga Champions, bitch!! 99 points motherfuckers. And that's legit, no weak ass teams like the Premier League at the bottom.

Ha ha ha...who cares? Seriously? No Copa del Rey, no Champions League. The weak ass team sits in Barcelona...:thefinger

And I hope you don't really think the clubs at the bottom in La Liga are in any way superior to any clubs at the bottom in any other big European league. That would be massive BS.

Brother Goons....it looks like Cesc is gone :weeping: Let's not try to downplay this. It is a crippling blow to the team.

How do we move on...

Inter have a new Away jersey for next season... Wow this looks awesome. Maybe they'll wear it on the Champion's League field as they beat down Bayern :thefinger

The logic is Laporta wants to spend big and leave some big names for when his role as presidant ends, also leaving the new presidant with no money to buy players in the summer.

Alrighty. First of all I'm not overly impressed with Barcelona. 99 points in a league with teams such as Tenerife, Xerez and Gijon to name but three does not impress me. No one can call la liga the best league in the world as it is just Real, Barca, Valencia, Sevilla and maybe Atletico and Villereal. Wheras the premiership has too many good teams to mention. Even the bottom team in the premiership, Portsmouth, has more status and good players than a lot of these spanish teams.

That said, I do like Serie A and Bundesliga and hope for a good game on saturday. Come on INTER!!

One more thing.....Buffon to Arsenal. Cesc can go, honestly, Cesc can go. If we get Buffon in goal we are winning titles!

Just found out that Lassana Diarra is out for the WC, which really blows. Maybe Vieira will get another call.

FYI - Here's a a friend's world cup/porn related blog. Looks like it might end up being decent

Although I'm a friend of Cardiff, I am happy to see Blackpool return to the English top flight for the first time in 40 years. Congratulations, seasiders!

It's always nice to see a small dog make it to the Premier League. Now that Hull and Burnley are out, Blackpool might become my new secret love. ;)

^
Will they really have a chance to stay up? Hull was the most successful "noob" to the Premiership and they only were able to make it up for 2 seasons. I remember when Charlton and Derby County were Prem teams... :o

^^ Don't forget Wigan. Everybody mocked them when they promoted to the EPL. They have become a stock team (more or less). Fulham was a sure relegation bet ever since they've made it to the top flight in 2003. Look where there are now. And Stoke is doing much better than expected themselves.

I am confident that those low-profile teams have a chance to out-perform wannabes like Newcastle and West Ham - at least for a while. Look where former big dogs like Leeds have washed up...

*fingers crossed*
