2009/2010 WORLD Football (EPL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc)

Man United looking replace Tevez and Ronaldo with Micheal Owen. A very risky signing with his recent injury record. Surely they will bring in another striker to compliment Rooney and Berbatov.

I think Ferguson has finally lost it, I mean come on ..... Owen? :1orglaugh

Owen to manure is a nice "feel good" story but not a serious strategic move.

There is no way on the planet that Arsenal will get rid of the best left back in the world--Gael Clichy--unless Real want to pony up $50mil. He's worth that much.:hatsoff:

Is Ribery really that good of a dribbler? Wow. Ribery is a speedy winger, for sure, but I have him more of a winger/sniper, not a dribbling playmaker:dunno:

Tevez to Man City makes sense. Chelski seems awfully quiet lately...

Well, a great day for American soccer/FOOTBALL!!! Oguchi Onyewu aka THE GOOCH signs with AC Milan!:nanner:

I'm not just saying this as an American Homer, but, seriously, this is a great signing. He's big, tough, a great header on set plays and can throw the ball in almost 30 meters:eek: It's a great weapon when the US has a throw deep in enemy territory, it's like a corner kick. He really is a solid player and should help out Milan's backline.

I might have to start rooting for Milan now....

He will bring in another forward I think as Owen will just be a squad player. I dont think there is any risk as they got him on a free. As a Newcastle fan I was glad to see the back of him, he came to us for the money pure and simple and done nothing on the pitch, he was more bothered about his horses and stables.

Might not have been a transfer fee involved with Owen but he will still be on a decent wage and probably a hefty signing on fee. With the young strikers Macheda and Welbeck, is there room for another striker or are the young boys going on loan.

I heard he was gona be on half the wage he was on at Newcastle (100 grand a week) so 50 grand and then with pay as play bonuses added on top. I still think he will bring in a top striker.

I think Owen is a great deal for ManU, he only did 1 great mistake in his career and that was the trade to Real Madrid...

And by the way I´m Bayern Munich Supporter and think we will play a great 09/10 season WITH Ribery ! 80mio Euro Cash or screw you Real Madrid ;)

^If I were Bayern I'd sell Ribery for that Euro cash. You're almost guaranteed of getting a half-effort out of Ribery this coming season anyway and you'll unload him next year at a severe discount. Arsenal could've sold Adebayor last year for 30mil, didn't, and he moped his way to a mediocre season. Ronaldo didn't leave ManU last season, same thing, a mediocre season out of him....

Ibrahimovic to Barca in exchange for Eto'o, 45 million Euros and Alexsander Hleb on Loan. Probably the worst deal ever made. Ibra is good but only against shit teams, Eto'o is a big time player.

I think they did well to get the swap Eto'o is a better player. But how Hleb
went to Barca is beyond me considering he only had one decent season at
the Goons :)

I got to meet the Real Madrid players at a tranning session last week (there here in Ireland for a tranning camp) i had vip pass,s  it was brillant cant believe i met my Hero Raul he is a God

in what I would assume was their first friendly, Inter Milan looked very good despite drawing to Mexican side Club America 1:1. There were two red cards in the match, as Club America looked more up to it, but Inter I thought played very well considering the difference in fitness. When Serie A comes arounds, even Champions League, they could be a dangerous team

looks like Ibrahimovic will be sold to Barca though
