Wow, TCU vs Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl?!?!

That's total bullshit! They played each other last year. This is like putting two SEC teams against each other.

I think the BCS is scared of the fact that a non-automatic qualifier might be just as good as a BCS conference team.

They deserve better!

Actually I love this match up. It could be the detonation of the BCS imploding. If Cincy beats Florida how can you say that the 'Bama/Texas winner is the best? Think about it, we will have two undefeated teams after the bowl games, if not three. How can you defend not having a playoff?

What a fucking hose job for both schools. We already played each last year:mad::mad::mad:

I think you're right rwill. The BCS elites don't want to be shown that their system is shit by having 2 big name schools lose. It should be TCU vs GTech in the Orange and BSU versus Iowa (how did they make it back in:rolleyes:) in the Fiesta. The game is rigged. THis is like putting the kiddie programs at the kiddie table while the adults feast in separate room basically...

Fixed. This is basically the list of non-BCS that I'll be watching. Most of the non-BCS matchups are really bad. Northwestern/Auburn? Houston/Air Force? Kentucky/Clemson --all of these have  written all over them.

I'll give you the score of Arizona/Nebraska---Zona 2 Nebraska 3

USC/Boston College is not a bad matchup on paper. I just don't think we're going to show up and play. USC will be favored by 9 but lose by 17 I suspect.

I say we protest no one should watch any of the bowl games or attend this was a real hose job:dunno:

The winner of TCU/BSU is going to claim part of the national championship, if Bama loses. The BCS opted to sacrifice the Fiesta it appears. It could've worked out that TCU, BSU and Cincy all could've lost thereby assuring the winning of BAma/TX an undisputed NC.....

This is just the beginning of chaos every year unless we scrap the entire NCAA system and get a true playoff system. Conferences need to be blown up. There needs to be 4 Geographic Super Conferences and winner emerge from their regions to play each other nationally...sort of like the NCAA Basketball Tourney is set up...

If Bama wins team can still lay claim to the national champion to be honest this sounds like 2005 all over again McCoy will do his best Vince Young sorry TR I know i know bad memories for both of us but some how Bama is not ready and if Cincy beats Flordia and the TCU/Bosie winner will be undefeated 1990/1997/2003 all over again this is crap my God you are right we need a playoff system quick fast and in a hurry:rolleyes:

THis is like putting the kiddie programs at the kiddie table while the adults feast in separate room basically.

Perfect analogy. I can almost hear the discussion that went on in The Man's office;

"So, we've got these two undefeated teams who everybody wants to see in big bowls, and we might all get lynched if we don't do it, but if we do, then our darlings at Texas, Bama, Florida and such will get pushed out. So, what do we do?"

"Oh, oh, I know! Let the Fiesta take one for the team and put 'em both in it, together! Then we could do what we were going to do anyhow with the others! Nobody goes to the Fiesta anyhow!"

"Yes... Perfect! Let it be done! Sacrifice the Fiesta! Bwahahahaaaa!"

The BCS, racketeering and fraud for dummies.

I am rather tickled at SC being demoted all the way to the Emerald, though. Oh, how the mighty have fallen! :D And Tebow versus Pike in the Sugar will be fun. Hopefully Pike shows up The Chosen One, just as McElroy and the Tide did. New Years is gonna be fun!

None of this will be fun until we get a playoff and a fair shake:mad:

The only good thing about all these random bowl games is, starting in about 2 weeks, turning on the tv at night and *discovering* a game on...."Fresno St versus Wyoming--in New Mexico? Sure, I'll watch it. Why the hell not...."

Man, Alabama sure looks tough. I take back everything I said about Tebow v. McElroy....you can see him maturing right before our eyes. This is a very dangerous team. I'm not sure the 'horns can hang with 'em although anything can happen once you get to the championship game. To win it, you gotta be in it (Johnny Cochran eat your heart out!). Nobody thought we had a shot back in '96 against Leinart, Bush and USC either so we'll see what happens. Congrats to both schools....they earned it.

Mack Brown did his best to cover up what would have the the fuck-up of the century had Colt McCoy thrown that ball away a second later. He thought there was 15 seconds left! How the fuck could he have thought that when the clock clearly said "8 seconds". Whew....we dodged a huge bullet right there and Hunter Lawrence was just nails as he hit that winning kick. Kudos to the Husker D....man are they good. Suh might be the most dominant player in the nation. If they could only find an offense....

I'm thinking Cincy will take out a deflated Gator team just like Utah did to 'bama last year.

I agree. It might as well be called the "just go away" bowl....2 non-BCS teams in a BCS bowl?? WFT is up with that? A total joke. I knew somebody was going to get "Utahed" this year and the BCS wanted to make damned-sure that there weren't TWO non-BCS teams making NC claims!

Well you made some good points here and around Jan.10 2010 I'm sure another poll will be floating around here saying should the National Champion be split:hatsoff:

Here's a thought (question)...why don't the TCU's, BSU, etc. schedule elimination games during the regular season.....

Instead of scheduling presumed wins against mid level teams or moral victory in loses to programs from BCS conferences.

Would be blockbuster games in terms of marketing IMO.

The only problem with that is no one wants to play them frenso State is the same way they win 8 or 9 games a seasonfrom my understanding none of the three are afraid to play anyone I like the idea myself like college basketball they should have an ACC/Big Ten Challenge or SEC vs Big East but you know how it is money talks:dunno:

Sorry, I didn't word that correctly...I meant BSU and teams like TCU should play each other more than anything.

Oh I see like a BCS buster yeah that would be great it would somewhat solve some of the problem that they have now I mean really what the hell was the BCS thinkingwhen they came up with TCU-BSU:dunno:

I have nothing against the guy personally, and it probably isn't his fault the media gives him Favre level of attention when he doesn't deserve it, but does anybody else think TeBlow would be a good nickname for Tim Tebow?

I feel sorry for TCU, Boise State, and Cincinnati. When almost every other sport in the world, and pretty much every other level of football for that matter can manage to have a playoff if they need to, it shows just how much of a joke it is that the top NCAA division can't pull it off. They continue to have things like this happen almost every year.

It's all about scheduling D-Rock. Programs now have typically 3 or 4 games schedule out of conference opponents.

If TCU, BSU, Utah, etc. will go anywhere or schedule anyone...why don't they schedule each other? That would be more noteworthy and would give them more recognition than scheduling and mid-level BCS school and winning by 3 (or whatever)....

Cincy is a different story...they are in a BCS conference and much like Auburn, 'Bama and some of the other BCS programs that had undefeated, untied season and didn't play for the NC that just the luck of the draw.

I know your larger point is every team should have a chance but most teams do... And at least the programs who feel they don't get a fair shot could enhance their chances by knocking off the other teams who feel they don't get a fair shot (i.e. their competition).

This is what should be happening.

1)Alabama
8)Ohio State

4)TCU
5)Florida

3)Cincinnati
6)Boise St.

2)Texas
7)Oregon

You can't be serious. Ohio State in the Championship after losing to Purdue and SC? Really?

I'll take Oregon and Texas, though. Longhorns would be a much worthier opponent than the Buckeyes.
