I think I pass the torch the you, sir, for the 2010-2011 thread:glugglug:

I'm honored I'm pleased to announce that the NCAA 2010/2011 thread will start after the end of the BCS National Champion for now Wisconsin-Hawaii is playing and Army-Navy will play next week end which is weird I can't remember when they played the second week of December that is also when we find out who will win the Heisman Toby Gerhart maybe:dunno:

SC has been flushed down the tubes toward the Vegas Bowl? Or maybe the Emerald Bowl...:dunno: We might as well just call it the OFFTHEGRID Bowl :weeping:

Don't cry you guys have a tie in with the Sun Bowl and the Hoilday Bowl right lets check out the bowl tie ins

We might be at the bottom of the eligible Pac10 teams. 6th. Courtesy of Wiki..

The Pacific-10 Conference has six bowl tie-ins.
* #1 Bowl Championship Series. The Pac-10 champion gains an automatic berth to a BCS bowl game, preferentially the Rose Bowl

* #2 The Holiday Bowl receives the second choice of Pac-10 teams.
* #3 The Sun Bowl receives the third choice of Pac-10 teams.
* #4-5 The Maaco Bowl Las Vegas and the Emerald Bowl coordinate their selections of the fourth and fifth teams to provide geographically favorable match-ups.
* #6 The Poinsettia Bowl receives the sixth choice of Pac-10 teams.

:weeping:

I, too, think Gerhart's the winner. None of the contenders have been as consistent as Toby Gerhart.

One hot topic will be Jimbo Fisher's first true road test.... Florida St @ Oklahoma. Bring it on! :thefinger

That would be a great game for both teams after this season

Your serect is safe

If I had a vote I'd vote for Gerhart, but thanks to the east coast bias I don't think he's got a prayer.

If he does not get invited that would suck,This is not the best bowl view but here you guys go

We've lost a few every year since 2005! My biggest problem is that we have shite for assistant coaches. This team is not as bad as it looked on the field. Barkley has been struggling for the past 5 games. We never even thought to give Mustain a shot, especially after Stanford? The greatest talent loss was clearly Stafon Johnson. Once we lost him, the offense went down the tubes. We had no running game and teams just covered our passing attack.

I am going to press the panic button if we don't fire our coordinators and bring in experienced assistants. The 2005 Texas game is starting to feel like it happend a looooong time ago. :dunno:

USC should not be a training job for assistant coaches. I don't mind if experienced coaches come in and use USC as a stepping stone to other HC opptys, but I don't want it to be a place where greenhorns roam.

It will be strange watching USC play a bowl game before the New Year by the way when was the last time they did that:dunno:

As far as I'm concerned Tim Tebow ruined his legacy tonight. Not from his crappy play. From this....

Could not agree more. Yeah, losses suck, but come on! You've won a Heisman. You've won a Championship. You've been anointed as the New Christ and they'll probably rename your stadium after you. Suck it up, buttercup, and take it like a man. You finally had to play someone other than Southeast Florida School For The Deaf, or some other nobody win-column-filler, and they beat you. Win like a man.

Blech. Sorry, but I am sick of the worshipping of Tebow Christ. Glad it's over, and glad McElroy and Co exposed the fraud. Roll Tide!

/rant

Anyhow, what a day. Cincy made one of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen, and that Texas game was nuts! The SC-Arizona game was tough for me, as they are now my two most loathed teams in all of sports, but there was something special about seeing Petey and his gang embarrassed again. Sweet, sweet schadenfreude.

Bowl season is too damn far away.

That ending sentence is so true other than that Wisconsin is taking it to Hawaii and we still have the Army-Navy game and like I said if Army can pull it off all three schools Army,Navy, and Air Force will be going bowling I don't remember the last time that happened but I'm only 28 I would love to see it though

USC and Florida losing in the same day? Perhaps there is a god after all...

Too bad Cincy has crumbled. I was enjoying the game quite a bit for a while. While it benefits the Ducks for Cincy to fall, I still hate to see such a great season end like this for them.

I'm not quoting you to make sport. I live in Cincy and watched the game surrounded by Cincy grads. They were on th floor. To say victory was sweet is beyond overstatement. They were dead in the water. The ever charitable Mr Centuro was on his game when he said, "don't count them out". Given the circumstances they were in at the time. this took some balls. I am going to say that this is the best post of the year sportswise. Hats off to Greg.

Good point. That would be friggin sweet. I love the service academies and their players. To see them all go to bowls would be very, very cool.

Yahoo is touting Bearcat Boss Brian Kelly as the next Irishman. Big East and MAC coaches are known springboarders...hmm...:)

Army-Navy used to be the first weekend of dec and it was the last game of season before the bowls but with all the championship games now being played then it was moved to the second weekend so they are the only game played.
