Tough loss by the bruins. I generally *hate* ucla but I wouldn't minded it if they beat Memphis and made it to the Finals...West Coast Pride baby!
Memphis was quicker, more aggressive and seemed 2 steps ahead of ucla. Shocking to watch. They just smacked the bruins around a bit.
I think Kevin Love SHOULD stick around another year. I could see him leaving for the NBA though. I'm not sure if he'd have a good enough career. He might get drafted in the late 1st and sit on the bench for 3 years....If he played at ucla until his Junior year..his basketball experience and body would only get better. The NBA is an 80-100 game grind....
OJ Mayo is a flop, in my opinion...at this point. He was nothing more then a poor man's Harold Minor. Harold Minor did more at SC, was drafted #8 (by the Miami Heat), won the Slam Dunk contest once, and disappeared from the NBA.....I could see the exact same career happening to Mayo except he'd be drafted in the 2nd Round at this point...
Mayo needs to learn how to play organized basketball. He has athletic skills to "show up" on the score sheet every game...but the NBA is filled with players his size who can run and jump. Mayo had 3 opportunities in the season to win a game with the last shot...two times he got schooled by his defender and never got a shot off and the 3rd time he released a total prayer that clanked off the backboard...he did nothing impressive this year except maybe dunk once or twice. He needs to learn how to play bball....
I think Collison had a crappy game. He will be a great player in the NBA, I think.
