So you are saying that free version AVG is not a good program to use? As of now I'm using the free trial version of Kaspersky as well as Ad-aware. I also forgot to mention in the beginning that my OS is indeed Vista. Has anybody else had trouble or heard about this Virtumundo virus?

Update: After 24 hours later, my computer is now healed and STD free :) Yesterday morning I took it to a professional IT guy who runs his own business out of his home. He said he would take a look and scan it with a few programs and should be done by 6pm. Well 6pm came around and I called him...

Thank you all for the help. I ran a scan with ad-aware 2008 (lavasoft.com) and it found and deleted bad files, but my computer is still not running right. Looks like I'm going to have to get professional help. THIS SUCKS!!!

This just all of a sudden happened yesterday while I was using AVG. I was running a scan, and after the scan was complete I selected 'remove all unhealed infections'. A window popped up telling me that doing this can cause system to crash. I still went ahead and right away my system started...

I've got a bug in my system that I can't get rid of. It is making my computer run slow on start up, and is not allowing me to get to my homepage on internet explorer. I've run a full scan with AVG and it said my system is fine.

how can i get .avi to import into WMM? @ hot hannah, when I import the video and drag it into my timeline, it plays perfect in the preview window. But when I fast forward to the scene that I want to use, it takes awhile to catch up to original playback.

When I try to import a .avi in WMM it gives "could not be imported. Unspecified error".

no the audio I dont need because I'm going to play a song over it so I selected 'no audio' when I converted it. The frame rate in the edit window is slower than the playback on the timeline.

I have a movie that is .AVI that I want to import into Windows Movie Maker. I have converted it into .mpg and when I put it in Movie Maker, the playback doesnt match the frame rate. How can I fix this? I'm only using Movie Maker because it is just a simple video project to be done.
