They are quite different so its hard to say. MGS is more espionage style and GG is mostly Japanese style rock and heavy/power metal.
They are both good in fitting their theme for sure I think
Its a series of games, but I've never played them before. Its also famous for its soundtracks apparently, a lot of the songs from them have over 100K views on youtube.
Maybe its more well known in Japan and the rest of Asia :dunno:
