does the US run dc??we use ac
dc(direct current)
ac(alternating current)
you have 110v,this i think making your cable/flex to your appliances twice as thick as ours, while our operating voltage is a hell more dangerous than yours a 240v shock hurts bloody hurts !!
do you not have fuses in your appliances plug tops??
there you go watts,volts,amps
aka VIR
to learn the fuse rating divide the watts by the volts
V volts
I amps
R watts
so i have a kettle rated at 2.4kW whats its fuse rating(amp)
2400watts divided by 240volts =10amps(uk eg)easy as that!
Amp is the rating ie fuse eg plug top, mcb(circuit breaker)we use 6amp mcb for lighting,32amp mcb for ring main(sockets)the higher the ampage 60A,100A thats some serious power, remember its not the voltage that kills its the ampage, ventricular fibulation
Well I'm a little nervous, and overwhelmed, but I'm hanging in there. I don't think it's all gonna hit me until we're out there. It's happened so fast, I don't have much time for it to hit me.
