windows xp,normally i can see the link at the top of the page,so i can copy n paste,there is just file tools etc there,i must have pressed something

friday,,ive pressed something on my pc,say when i open a page ive been able to copy n paste as its always been at the top,it isnt no more all i got is history etc etc any idea how to get it back??
