It just might have. One of the last things I want to quote is the bible, but it is quite a compendium of knowledge despite the misuse and 'sins' committed in it's name:
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
People have petty, childish worries that they need to overcome. They need to see past the farces and the lies, the short-term fixes that mean more damage over the long-term.
People's interests are often touted with conviction by those who are first to abuse the people. It does, sadly.. take many years of grief to bring a population to the point where it does not discuss impeachment nor uprising.. but simply commits to it.
The time is nearing, or perhaps already here.. where people wont elect someone who acts in their best interest.. but rather the people themselves act; and from that action their best interests are served at the expense of the abusers, the opressors and those that have long-since answered only to their own greedy impulses.
Everyone can feel the boiling point. It is not an easy thing to bring the young and old, caring and carefree together.. 8 years of 'terror' (to use the word in the truest sense and not abuse it like FOX news) certainly shows a people that there are virtues and rewards to be gained by voicing your opinion against the dangerous other half.
One thing is sadly true, there is much hardship ahead no matter who wins. Defend the democrat from his enemies, or resist the influence of republican greed.
It's an exciting, stressful time. We're all waiting. Hoping.
