There is no more control over people's personal lives than a government mandated healthcare system. WWI WWII the Korean conflict Vietnam (Not Eisenhower but Kennedy sent the majority of advisors) Johnson escalated and sent us into a full fledged war. All when Democrats were in power. Gulf War I was a coalition response to Iraqi aggression. GWB did start the second gulf war but the majority were started or directed under Democrats.

Of course that's the best you can do. One side is trying to take affordable healthcare away from millions of American women through defunding PP, and millions of other Americans by repealing the ACA, trying to keep gay people from getting married, trying to keep workers from being able to collectively bargain, trying to take support away from those who need it most, so they can hand it to those who need it least, basically trying to abolish every protection provided to the average citizen from the oligarchs by the government, the list goes on and on and on.

But yes, by all means, let's talk about the outrage of being asked not to say things that might upset others, because that's the biggest problem faced by this country today.
