The *** Control debate thread

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I think a majority would agree there is no major problem with mentally fit persons owning revolvers, pistols or single-shot-at-a-time hunting rifles.

It's on weaponry with machine-*** features that the discussion is actually about.
Very few crimes, like somewhere from 3% to 5% of crimes are committed with a long ***. Restricting there ownership will have little effect on the crime rate.

As I said, the point is the machine guns. But even small statistics need regulations.

It was a different time back then, wasn't it?

When you re-watch it as an adult, you notice the details. Like no gasps/screams. His staring down the person several moments after they drop dead. Or the fact that he's even carrying a *** when he's about to perform.
Like I said, it was a different time.

Although I have the same reaction to people talking on their phones during a movie.

They used to show them regularly shooting themselves, especially Sylvester. Off topic, but the Looney Tunes was what turned me on to some classical music, this particular piece was the first one, as a matter of fact.

Boy, 16, dies after 'exchange of gunfire' with Toronto police: SIU
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/teen-siu-toronto-police-shooting-1.7515438
In the footage, an officer is asking people to step out of the car. A female gets out of the back seat — and that's when a male who was sitting next to her appears to pull out a handgun from the floor of the vehicle and starts firing at the officer.

Officers can then be seen firing back and yelling "take cover" while people scream.
The video, which appears to then shift forward in time, cuts to the officer trying to pull a person covered in ***** out of the vehicle. It then cuts again and appears to show an officer giving CPR to a person on the ground outside of the car.

16yr old just starts firing at police. Bodycam and security footage is solid that he's the aggressor. The car was stopped and sandwiched by 2 police cruisers. WTF did he think was going to happen? If he had survived, it would have been interesting to see what he would have faced for multiple attempted ******* of police officers.
