Norwegian ****** Attacks

I'm sure he actually took pleasure in being back there, for a joke the cops should have told him he had a 5 min headstart before they were gonna hunt him down and shoot him, let him experience the fear of being hunted on an island for a moment

Wow, is he really wearing that same red polo shirt or did he just put it on for that occasion?

I know it will save time in the trial, but these pics remind me of Ted Bundy "helping" the police find other serial killers.

Seems like it lol, he probably wore it during the shooting as well under the police uniform and has an unhealthy attachment to it

A politician - Carl I. Hagen (founder of FrP, the party that Breivik was a member of) - said earlier this week that "it is a waste of time and resorces to "turn every stone at Utøya". We all know what happend, and he has confessed".

That statement wasnt popular - especially for the families involved.

Gunman Anders Breivik could avoid prison after psychologists rule he was 'insane during massacre'

* Report by two forensic psychiatrists say Breivik is a paranoid schizophrenic who was in a psychotic state during his rampage
* The 32-year-old could face life in a psychiatric care rather than prison if finding upheld

Norwegian gunman Anders Breivik could avoid prison after two psychologists found he was insane during his July 22 massacre.

If a court agrees with that assessment, the self-declared anti-Muslim militant cannot be sentenced to prison but will be subjected to compulsory psychiatric care, prosecutors told reporters in Oslo.

'The conclusions of the forensic experts is that Anders Behring Breivik was insane,' prosecutor Svein Holden said, adding Breivik was in a state of psychosis during Norway's worst peacetime massacre.

In Norway, an insanity defense requires that a defendant be in a state of psychosis while committing the crime with which he or she is charged.

That means the defendant has lost contact with reality to the point that he's no longer in control of his own actions.

The 243-page report will be reviewed by a panel from the Norwegian Board of Forensic Medicine, which could ask for additional information and add its own opinions.

The head of that panel told had reporters in July that it was unlikely that Breivik would be declared legally insane because the attacks were so carefully planned and executed.

Breivik admitted ******* 77 people last month, including eight in a bombing in central Oslo.

But the 32-year-old right-wing extremist denies criminal guilt because he believes the massacre was necessary to save Norway and Europe.

The two psychiatrists, in their report, concluded that Breivik lived in his 'own delusional universe where all his thoughts and acts are guided by his delusions'.

Yes yes yes, I heard about if U. Almost bumped the thread.

Leave it to the Scandinavians to have a "sane" legal system.

At least in 'Merica we fry fuckers like that.

Could send him to that Mental Ward in HellRaiser II. Besides, death is an easy escape.

I was going to list people who had been involved in mass shootings or serial killings that were never executed...but was not even out of the "A"s before giving up...it actually looks like most of them actually committed suicide, and quite a few of them did end up dying of natural causes (or are serving time and are not on death row). Surprisingly few were actually executed.

I can understand why American people react like this, and indeed there is a big difference about we, Europeans handle criminals in general, wheather they are *********, thiefs, pedofiles or bank robbers. And in my honest and humble opinion, we are way too 'understanding' (read it as too soft) with them. This must be a hugh shock for the parents who's ******** were shot by Breivik.
And let's be honest here, this guy couldn't been insane at the time of the killings. He wrote a whole declaraction from several hundreds of pages, an insane one doesn't do that. He distracted the police with the bombs in the center, while he was driving to the island, an insane one would think about such a smart move.
No, this is not to understand for sane people. You probably have to be insane or a psychiatrist to understand this.
One more thing Americans have to understand: this is only the investigation. During the trial before court it has to be proven to the judge and the jury, and I'm not convinced they can.

You're probably right about that. Did the DC sniper(s) get CP? I can think of high profile nutters like the guy who ****** Lennon and the one who did RFK in and I don't believe either got CP. (capital punishment)

I've seen footage of European prisons. I've heard of the lenient "punishment" handed out to rapists in Scandinavia. Both were enough to make me think your system is totally backwards.

Depends a bit how you look at it, and it might become an interesting discussion, since the differences have more to do with the cultural differences in between Europeans and Americans, then with what we actually would like to do with those people.
For instance: when you look at polls, a big mayority of the European citizens are against death penalty, and think that prisoners have to be handled with care because after all, they are still human beings. At the other hand, when you talk to people in the streets, all of them believe that our prisoners live a luxuary life in prison, and it's about time that our prison hotels become prisons again. They have all the need to spend their time in quality (TV, PlayStation, in some countries even mobile phones).

I give you an example of one of our luxuary prison hotels:
Austria is giving you the perfect example
