So you agree with me? :dunno:Depends a bit how you look at it, and it might become an interesting discussion, since the differences have more to do with the cultural differences in between Europeans and Americans, then with what we actually would like to do with those people.
For instance: when you look at polls, a big mayority of the European citizens are against death penalty, and think that prisoners have to be handled with care because after all, they are still human beings. At the other hand, when you talk to people in the streets, all of them believe that our prisoners live a luxuary life in prison, and it's about time that our prison hotels become prisons again. They have all the need to spend their time in quality (TV, PlayStation, in some countries even mobile phones).
I give you an example of one of our luxuary prison hotels:
Austria is giving you the perfect example

Now be honest, what are we waiting for to rob a bank in Austria? :dunno:

I can tell you right now, ***, if you ever come to America, DON'T get put in jail, prison, the "work house" or otherwise. I've been Downtown a couple times for some stupid **** for 72 hour "holds" (once when I was just 18) and I can tell the first time I damn near **** myself. Mind you I'm in a big American city were there is plenty of crime and some of the type of ******* you would never want to meet in a dark alley. Which is why I am glad we have the Second Amendment, but that is another argument entirely.
I'm tough enough now that if I ever found my way back there I could handle myself, but the first time was enough to **** me up.
