Front to back for sure, because you want to push all the crumbs and other debris towards the counter top wall....because if you go back to front you have created more work for yourself with the sweeping and the mopping and owww my back hurts me with all these custodial arts.

I always use a vigorous side-to-side motion......with a counter clockwise swirl at the finish!!! :thumbsup:
