2010-2011 NCAA Basketball Thread

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
We're coming off an exciting 2010 Big Dance tourney, and Duke and Butler could make their case as top 5 teams for next season, if Kyle Singler and Gordon Hayward return to their respective schools. Of course, there are a lot of teams returning their veteran staff for next season, and all I can say is, fasten your seltbelts, college hoops fans.

Feel free to talk about incoming recruits, your predictions, and your own :2 cents: about the next upcoming NCAA hoops season on this thread.

Watch out for UCLA........in 2011-12.

I got big hopes for Florida. Making the tourney was a nice achievement, and a ***** surprise, now time to build on it.

I'm not sure what I can say about DePaul hiring Oliver Purnell from Clemson - a man with no previous ties to the Chicagoland area, plus the fact that he has never led any team past the 1st round of the Big Dance.

With 2 of the top 4 power forwards in the country coming in with a top 3 recruiting class and 4 or maybe even 5 returning starters.......my buckeyes are looking good.

Looks like Cornell's Sweet 16 run this year earned Steve Donahue a new coaching job at Boston College - a solid hire for the Eagles.

Ohio State and my Tarheels are looking good for next year. Great players returning and amazing recruiting classes.
I predict both to make the final four, the elite eight at the least.

Best player in the country
#1 SF Harrison Barnes
#3 SG Reggie Bullock
#6 PG Kendell Marshall

The Carolina post players are young and great. The backcourt will finally be fast again and have great shooters next year.

I also predict Duke will burn in hell.

The Tarheels should be better, Barnes and Bullock should be good but it'll be another team full of one-and-done wannabes. Behind Curry and Irving, Duke will win the ACC again.

Purdue. OSU. Michigan State. Kings of the Big16 next season!!!!

Don't be surprised if Northwestern makes a Cornell-like run in the Big 10 - with 4 experienced starters coming back including Kevin Coble and backup guard Jeff Ryan returning from their medical redshirt seasons, don't even think about ******** on the Wildcats next season.

The Illini have a decent chance to compete in the league next season, too. It depends on their incumbent starting lineup, which had been up and down this past season. It also doesn't hurt that they have a solid recruiting class coming in too, led by wingman Jereme Richmond, Crandall Head (******* of former Illini guard Luther), and big man Meyers Leonard.

5 Kentucky players declared for the NBA today. Hmmm. Is that a good thing for college athletics?

Should College Athletics shift away from being "the ***** leagues" for the NBA and the NFL and go back to being focused on "scholar/athletes"?

I feel bad for Kentucky fan/alum today for some reason....

great news in light of the worst season evah!

because dook won.

Am I the only one willing to give the Devil's their due??? Duke has absolutely nothing going for them athletically in any of the major sports but basketball, and yet they're hated dearly. They're a good team with and excellent coach who recruits **** with an interest in winning a national championship.

Not being a one-and-done.

Not because Michael Jordan went to that school.

Not because the coach has a history of making high draft picks.

But because Duke will be contention every year. Because the coach will give you an opportunity at cutting down the nets. So why the ****??? I understand why Tarheel fans **** the Devils, but I'm interested in knowing why everyone else does.
